Chapter 2

On the next morning was my day off, from normal work as a journalist and from my part-time job at the bar. I always set my vacation of both on the same days.

I was going through the streets of New York and bumped into someone, I was about to apologize but when I turned around to do so I saw the person I bumped into was no other than Levi, the guy from last night. I was watching where he was going and saw that he was going into SC Healthcare HQ, one of the biggest industries when it comes to medical field success.

I wonder why he is going in there but by his appearance I think he works there or something. After I saw that I was going home to chill for the rest of the day.

*Next day*

I'm about to stand up because my alarm clock is ringing, I have to go to work.

As I walk into the office my boss stops me right in my spot.

"(Y/N), you have a new project to work on"

Why is he giving me a new project? I have one going on.

"But what about my last one, it's not ready yet?"

"I gave it someone with less experience because this one is a big opportunity for us"

Great, now I have to work on two, the other one doesn't know anything about the story..

"What is it then?"

"We are starting a new storyline for our magazine, it's called 'Inner Workings', it's about the work of the biggest corporations in New York", he explains.

That sounds interesting.

"Okay, where do I start?"

"I already got our first Company, you're visiting them right after this conversation. It's at SC Healthcare, you are meeting a man called Erwin Smith, he is the head of publicly for SC"

"Alright... Wait SC Healthcare?"

He isn't serious, please.

"Yes, a problem with it? Should I give this job to someone else?"

"No, it's alright, I'll do it!", I said confidently

Why did it have to be the SC? It looks like Levi works there. What if I bump into him when I'm there?

As I drove there with my motorcycle, I thought about how I'm about to avoid Levi when he really works there but nothing came to my mind beside hoping that he doesn't work there.

I walked in the SC HQ and to the front desk.

"Hello, I'm (Y/N) (L/N), my boss send me here to meet with a Mr. Smith", I told the woman in front of me.

"Here is your Guest-ID, please bring it back when you're done. You'll find Mr. Smith in floor 33 in room 33.01", she explained.

"Thank you"

I walked off to go see him but when I got in the elevator, I saw that this building has 100 floors. Fuck this is going to be hard, I need help, please, someone. Else way this will hurt, how am I supposed to interview all important people here with so many floors.

As I got up to floor 33, I overheard a conversation of two people in nice clothing who was in the elevator, too. The woman has short, black hair, black eyes and pale white skin, loos a little bit Asian. The man has short dark brown hair and teal-green eyes.

"I can't anymore, Levi had me run all over the office yesterday", the woman said.

LEVI?! No way! So, he must be someone high here, I have to avoid him somehow!

"He is such an ass, I had to do the stocks again and again 'till he was satisfied"

When I got to the 33rd floor I got out the elevator and saw a long floor, I searched for room 33.01 and found a sign that has 33.01 Erwin Smith written on. I knocked on the door.
