Gar was slowly losing his mind. Jason had been gone for hours now and who knew what Doctor Light would do to him?
All of this was Gar's fault, for telling Jason where Dr. Light was hiding. If he'd just told Dick right away, none of this would have happened! He shouldn't have agreed to split up, or go down there in the first place!
He needed caffeine. Now.

Rose sat on the kitchen counter, looking at different types of cereal and ignoring Gar mostly as he rummaged through the cupboards, looking the coffee.
"Damn!" He growled as he slammed the cupboard door shut, putting the coffee pot and the ground coffee on the kitchen counter forcefully.
Why was everything so messed up? They were supposed to be a team, to trust each other, but the old Titans were keeping them out of the loop and everybody had to deal with their problems by themselves. That's not how it's supposed to be like.

"Any luck finding your boy?" Asked Rose, leaning casually against the wall.
"The team's still searching. They are probably in the tunnels."
Rose rolled her eye.
"Do you guys have any cereal that's not for old people?"

Gar's eyes widened slightly. Was she for real?! Jason was missing and Rose didn't give a shit! Who cared about cereal if a person had been kidnapped? How can someone be so cold?
They took Rose in, gave her a place to stay and she couldn't care less.
"I can't believe you."
"What?"
"You don't even care."
She huffed, crossing her legs. "I got ripped from my sleep in the middle of the night. Excuse me if I wanted a snack."

Gar growled, the tips of his ears turning green. "Jason could be getting burned to a crisp right now, the least you could do is try to help."
"How?" She asked, eyebrows raised. "By hanging out with you and your girlfriend in front of a computer?"

Spinning around, Gar knocked over the coffee pot.
"She's not my girlfriend!"
"So you're saying you don't like her or she doesn't like you?"
Running a hand through his hair, Gar shook his head. "No, no, I'm not having this conversation. Enjoy your cereal."

He moved to leave, but Rose stopped him. "Listen, I'm sorry Robin 2.0 is missing or something, but he did this to himself, so don't project your guilt on me, Tiger Boy. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna eat my cereal and chill."

She left without another word.
Gar scoffed and stomped towards the surveillance room, fists clenched in anger.

Rachel greeted him with cocked eyebrows. "No coffee?"
When Gar didn't answer, she turned her chair to fully face him. "What's wrong?"
"Rose. Kitchen. Eating."
Rachel sighed, spinning the chair back around to watch the monitors. "Just let her, she doesn't even know him." She hesitated. "Besides, it's not her fault."

Gar's anger was rising again.
"Are you saying it's mine?"
"I didn't say that."
"Then what's the face for?"
"It's nothing," she mumbled, but Gar was not in the mood for games, so he asked more forcefully. "What?!"

Rachel stood from her sitting position, hands pressed on the table. "I understand why you didn't tell Dick about your little plan, but you could have come to me, I could have helped you if you didn't keep it a secret!"
"How? You can't even control yourself!"

Okay, so maybe that was a low blow, but Gar was fed up with this whole situation and he already felt guilty enough, he didn't need Rachel to rub it in his face.

"Excuse me?!" Yeah, Rachel was defenitifly pissed.
"I saw you yesterday, you couldn't bring it back in," Gar hissed, pointing a finger at her chest. "Not to mention your creepy cloud of razor blades that nearly took my hand off! At least now I know how you got those marks on your back."
"Oh, so now you're spying on me?!"
"I'm not spying on you!" He screamed, hands flailing, "I saw it when we were sparring! So don't come at me about keeping secrets."

"First of all, my powers are fine," she spit, red flashing in her eyes. "And if I had been there, I could have turned that guy into a glowing puddle. What did you do Gar, did you growl at him, was he real scared? If you and Jason hadn't been so stupid and thought this through, none of this would have happened!"
"Screw you!"

For a breathless moment, they stood in silence, until the computer beeped. "Security alert. Main entrance. Access denied."
They both looked at the screen showing the front door, an unbelievable amount of relieve flooding Gar once he saw Kory standing there, looking at the camera.

"Hello? Anyone home?" The alien asked and Rachel left the room to welcome her friend, one last, "Perfect timing," sighed in his direction.
Gar groaned, rubbing his temples.
He slammed his fist against the table. "Rachel, I'm sorry!" He yelled after her, but she was already gone.
The computer beeped again and Gar's heart skipped a beat.
"Tracker located."
They found Jason.
