After I drove back home and parked the car in the garage, I sat on the porch.

I thought about life with my dad.

He lived in Africa. It was a big choice for a ten year old to pick living with her mom or dad.

He talks to me every week.

More like texts me every week. I scoff.

"Hey beanie girl! Guess we are nieghbors huh?" a voice calls from above me.

I cringe and whisper, " Yay."

"Oh c'mon. Call me bandanna boy." he says, sitting next to me.

"I'll call you bandanna boy, kick you in the balls, then go inside. How would you like that?" I ask in a sickly sweet tone.

He shrinks away from me as he stands up.

"Maybe you can do more than that to my balls love." he states with a cheeky smile.

Ew. "How 'bout I chop them and your friend off so you can never have kids?"

He falls off the edge of the porch as I forcefully push him off.

"Bye Beanie!" he calls from the bush as I go inside.

"Go to hell Bandanna." I smirk closing and locking the door.
