John was at his tent late at night writing a letter to general Washington, he needed more tropes to attack from the south

He blushed and sighed lovingly thinking of his beautiful wife, and a few minutes later of him thinking of his wife he got back to work

A few moments later he felt two harms wrap around his neck and someone giving him a kiss on the cheek, he wandered who could it be

"Excuse me I have a wi-" he stopped when he saw his wife standing there with a little smile on her face

John quickly smiled and got up from his chair lifting her up, she laughed the whole time

"My world what are you doing here?" He said putting her on the ground

She smiled "I came to see you, I couldn't be apart from you anymore" she said and he quickly kissed her, he smiled on the kiss it had been a while since he last kissed her "And I have an important thing to tell you" she said looking at the ground

"Oh?" John said looking at her confusion written all over his face

"But I'll tell you later, right now I just want to spend time with you really" Angelica said

John gave her a kiss on the neck as she giggled "I was kinda scared to come here as no one knows I'm here, do you think they'll do anything to me?" She asked

"Of course not, at least I won't let them, let me remind you Mrs.Laurens that your husband is a colonel" John said

"Oh my dear husband how could I forget how brave my handsome husband is" Angelica said laughing as John joined

He caught her waist and pulled her closer "I'm so glad you came at this hour I was really needing it"

"Of course I came at this hour dear, if I came in the morning they would most likely burn me alive" Angelica said and John laughed

"I dare them to even lay a finger on my wife, I would kill them" John said and kissed her

She laughed again "my brave boy" she said putting her hands on his face

He stared at her lovingly "I love you my Angel" he said kissing her forehead

"I love you too dear" Angelica said smiling at him

"Now, what did you want to tell me?" He asked and she glared at the ground "what happened my love?" He asked concerned

"I don't know if your going to accept this that's all" Angelica said and started to mess with her hair something she did when she was nervous, John noticed this and took her hand

"I'll accept everything coming for you" he said smiling at her

She breathed before talking "okay so a few days ago I was feeling really sick, I was vomiting everywhere and I didn't know why, so I decided to go see a doctor" she paused and John gave her a reassuring smile and she continued "when the appointment ended he came to me and told me I was pre-pregnant" Angelica said looking at the ground after this

A few moments later she felt a hand grabbing her waist and lifting her up

She looked at John and he was grinning widely

"We're going to be parents I'm going to be a dad, I love you so much Angel" John said tears leaving his eyes

She started crying too "so you're happy?"

"Of course I am, I have the best wife in the whole world and now I'm going to have the best child in the whole world, my life is amazing" John said excitedly

"Well I have the best husband in the world too" Angelica said and John hugged her giving her kisses all over her face

"I love you so much"

"Me too"
