today is my first day back from tour and i finally get to see my baby girl.

"ed where you going?" zion asks , walking into my room.

"i'm going to see kayla." i say smiling, while getting ready.

"oh. um- have fun then." he said, turning to leave.

"wait z, what's wrong?" i ask, grabbing his arm.

"we were supposed to go celebrate the tour, remember?"

"oh shit i forgot. i'm really sorry." i say letting go of his arm.

"it's fine. i'll let the others know though." he says leaving.

i hope he's not too upset with me.

i pulled up to kayla's house. there's a car i've never seen in the driveway. maybe it's a friend's car?

i unlock the door and see a dark and empty living room.

"kayla?" i call out.

no response.

"kayla?" i call out again, heading upstairs.

"baby where are you?" i ask, opening her bedroom door.

"oh jeez kayla, you scared me. why weren't you answering?"

"i'm sorry bae i was in the bathroom. how was the tour?" she asks, out of breath.

"why are you so out of breath?"

"i- uh i was scared. you scared me."

"who's car is that in the driveway?" i ask looking around the room. "nobody's even here."

"um, he- i mean sh-"

"he who?"

" 'he' no one baby."

"if there's no 'he', then why are you acting so weird kay?"

before she even gets the chance to think of what to say, a loud noise comes from the bathroom.

"who's in the bathroom kayla?"

she stood there and stared at me with wide eyes.

she doesn't wanna respond, so imma do some investigating my damn self.

i head over towards the bathroom and she finally speaks up.

"n- nobody baby!"

i open the door and see some skinny white dude quickly picking up stuff from off the floor.

"kayla, who the fuck is this?" i say pointing at the guy.

"i, uh- um." she studders.

"you know what? i don't even care. keep your stupid fucking excuse because we're done." i say before leaving the house.

i get into the house and all the lights are off.

fantastic. no one's home.

i go into my room, slam the door, and flop myself on my bed.

don't cry edwin, it's okay. it's not your fault.

but no matter how hard i try not to cry, i still do. well until there was a knock on my door.

"edwin?" zion knocks again. "are you okay?"

"go away." i say sniffiling.

"what's wrong?" he says, opening the door.

i turn my back to him.

"i said go away."

he sits down on the bed behind me.

"ed what happened?"

i couldn't even respond because all that comes out is more crying.

he cuddled up against me.

"it's okay. whatever it is, it's okay."

"no it's not." i say wiping my face and turning towards him. "it's really not okay."

"tell me what's not okay ed."

"kayla sh- she cheated." i say holding back tears.

he didn't say anything he just looked me in my eyes.

"stop looking at me like that."

"i love you edwin." he says, cuddling closer.

"i love you too."

"no edwin, i love you."

"i know zion, i heard you."

"no, i don't think you understand." he says, closing the gap in between us.

"i. love. you." he then ends with a kiss.

i kiss him back.

the kiss slowly started to turn into a makeout.

"wait, i just broke up with my girlfriend zion, i can't do this." i say backing up.

"you're right. i'm sorry, i'll leave." he says, sitting up.

"no, please don't leave, i need someone right now."

he didn't say anything, he just got back in bed and cuddled me.
