Chapter 12

Naruto woke up to the sound of knocking on his door... again. He slowly got out of bed and made his way to the door. Standing there was Sakura, with tears in her eyes "S-Sakura?! What are you doing here?!" Naruto asked as Sakura latched onto him, "Sakura, why are you crying?"

"I-It's Sasuke, h-he-" Sakura tried to speak, but she choked on her tears, making it almost impossible to tell him anything

"What did he do?" Naruto asked as Sakura cried even harder

"H-He left a-and h-he's... oh, kami," Sakura tried again, but could only cry harder

"How about you come inside my room, you're gonna cause a scene," Naruto said as he pulled Sakura inside his room. Sitting down on Naruto's bed, Sakura continued to cry into Naruto's shoulder as Naruto said: "Sakura, what happened?"

"S-Sasuke left a-and he-he w-was killed," Sakura said. Naruto's world shook when Sakura said that sentence. His jaw quivered as he spoke, "W-what do you mean, he was killed?"

"H-he left l-last night, a-and th-the Ginyu Force t-tried to stop him. T-they f-found him with s-some of O-Orochimaru's men. T-they got into a fight a-and S-Sasuke was c-caught in the crossfire," Sakura explained as she cried

"N-no, that's not possible," Naruto said, "you're lying,"

"Why would I lie about this?!" Sakura screamed. The whole room shook when Sakura screamed as Naruto covered his ears "Alright, alright! I believe you!" Naruto shouted as Sakura continued to weep

"Why... why did he have to do it?" Sakura whispered when there was another knock on his door. Naruto went to his door and opened it to reveal Jeice with some food "Lord Byte, how are you this morning?"

"Hey, Jeice, uh, what are you doing here?" Naruto asked

"I brought ya some brekky if that's a'right," Jeice replied as he gulped, "and some... bad news,"

"Let me guess, Sasuke?" Naruto asked as Jeice straightened up

"S-so you know?"

"Yeah, Sakura told me," Naruto replied as he pointed behind him, Jeice looked to see the crying Sakura and shuttered. He slowly walked into the room and whispered "Fuck me dead," and set the food on Naruto's bed

"So, what are you doing here, aside from food and news?" Naruto asked as Jeice took a deep breath

"I-I'd like to apologize, Lord Byte," Jeice said with a bow

"For what?" Naruto asked

"I'm sorry... for the incident regarding Sasuke Uchiha," Jeice said

"I see,"

"Y-you were there, weren't you?" Sakura asked

"Yes, I was... and I'm sorry for what I did. I was trying to hit someone else, and I ended up killing him," Jeice said, "please, forgive me,". Jeice was still bowing as Sakura stood up and punched him in the head. He didn't flinch as Sakura continued to beat him "YOU SON OF A BITCH! I'M GONNA KILL YOU! YOU HEAR ME? KILL YOU!" Sakura shouted as Naruto caught the next punch from Sakura

"Sakura... assaulting Jeice won't bring Sasuke back,"

"B-bu-"

"SAKURA! As much as I don't want to admit it... I forgive Jeice," Naruto said

"What?" Sakura and Jeice said

"I. Forgive. Jeice,"

"B-but, sir, I-I killed your best bud! How can you forgive me?" Jeice said as Naruto looked at him

"Sasuke was going down a dark path... I knew deep down that he would stop at nothing to achieve the power he wanted... but I can at least settle with the fact that he'll be at peace now," Naruto said, making Jeice feel... unnatural. Jeice could only feel gratitude toward Naruto as he stood up straight "I-I won't mess up this chance ya gave me, sir! I'll make this up to ya! How about I teach ya how ta fly?" Jeice asked

"R-really?"

"I reckon! You and the sheila both!" Jeice shouted, "come meet me out front in a bit!"

"A-alright, alright, but uh, don't call me sir. Just call me Byte, please?" Naruto asked

"Okay, Byte! If ya wish! Well, I gotta shoot through!" Jeice said as he left with a gracious smile on his face, "Come on, pinkie, let's get!"

"H-hey put me down!" Sakura shouted as Jeice picked her up. When they were gone, Naruto sighed as he sat down on his bed... and cried.

With Frieza:

Frieza was smiling as Ginyu bowed in front of him, "My, my, you've done well. Better than I expected, but why did you send Jeice to tell my son the bad news?" Frieza asked

"When we first landed here yesterday, Lord Byte took a liking to Jeice. I thought it would be best if someone he admired would tell him the news... and not end up killing us," Ginyu explained

"Your intellect ceases to amaze me, Ginyu... and for that, you and the Ginyu Force have the rest of the week off,"
"E-excuse me?"

"You heard me, get out and enjoy yourselves... I'm just in a wonderful mood today, and make sure to tell Jeice... if he's alive," Frieza said as the Ginyu's proceeded to dance

"We have been granted a gift my Lord Frieza!"

"A gift we shall not waste!" Burter said

"A few days of rest! Just for us!" Guldo said

"I can't wait to see what this place has for fun!" Recoom said as they all ran out of the room. Frieza took a deep breath and exhaled with a smile on his face and said: "I just love the misery I'm sensing from this village, hopefully, they'll run into the Ginyu's... and the Ginyu's will destroy them,"

Later:

Naruto slowly stepped out of the ship to see Jeice talking with Ginyu, who was currently wearing a Hawaiian shirt with shorts "You right mate?" Jeice asked Ginyu

"100 PERCENT!"

"Bloody oath, the rest of the week off! This is grand!" Jecie said as he looked at Naruto, "But... I'm afraid I'm gonna have to bail out on ya. I promised Lord Byte and his sheila friend that I'd teach em how ta fly,"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, sorry Captain, but I sorta owe him, ya know?"

"I understand, I'll make sure to get you something for your dedication to Lord Byte!"

"Hey! Can we go already?" Recoom asked as he was in a t-shirt and shorts

"Yes, we can go! But before that... Lord Byte!"

"Y-yes?" Naruto replied as Ginyu looked at him

"Do you know anywhere for us to go?"

"T-the hot springs? Oh, and a place called Ichiraku Ramen,"

"Thank you! Let's go men!" Ginyu shouted as they left, leaving Jeice and Naruto. Jeice sighed as he walked up to Naruto and said: "Alright, mate, let's get goin',"

"But what about Sakura?" Naruto asked

"She's already there, eating a box of lollies. One way I learned to stop a sheila from crying is to give em a box of lollies and some Choccy Biccy's, does the job every time!"

"Okay, so where are we going?"

"Just follow me!"
