My first class was today. I couldn't take anything too seriously after I saw that my only class today was named "Laws of Princessisim". I went to the office to ask for any kind of textbook I would need.
"You have to ask Snyder." The bitchy office-lady said when I asked for a textbook.
"Who?" I was really confused, and her nasally voice gave me a headache.
"Snyder. In the library. Go, now." She shooed me away.
I had no idea where that was. Maybe, if I thought long and hard, I would poof into the library. I thanked the lady, and made my way into the main hallway where I met Jessie and Elaine yesterday. I scanned door numbers, and the map I got from Addison yesterday after dinner. Room 267. That sounds easy. I kept walking until I bumped into someone standing outside the room.
"Ouch!" I mumbled, stumbling back.
The man in front of me seemed to be my same height, 5'4". He was skinny, but not lanky, with a chin that could crack diamonds. We were both rubbing our foreheads where they met, and he watched me as I lost my dignity.
"Seriously? Watch where you're going." He snapped.
"Sorry, sir. I must've been my fault." I mocked his confidence.
"Obviously. Scram." He nudged my shoulder.
I moved around him into the library doors. It opened up to a cozy-looking room about the size of the cafeteria, but filled with books and stairs going up to different floors of books. It took a moment for me to realize that the hallway I went though to get here connected part of the castle/school with a small wing. This one wing, twice the size of the library in Beauty and The Beast, was just for books and tables to study at. I looked around, aimlessly.
"Eve? Is that you?" An all-too-familiar face came up to me. "Eve! It. Totally. Is. You! Don't try to hide it!" Jessie screeched, making me wince as she grasped my wrist tightly. Jessie lead me through a maze of books and tables and students, until we finally reached the table filled with textbooks and a bowl of sweet treats.
"Hey, Elaine. Nice to see you again." I said as Jessie pushed me into the seat beside her.
"Ditto." She smiled politely, handing me a hot-pink cookie from the bowl.
"I don't think I've ever eaten a pink cookie." I grabbed it from her hand, skeptically.
"I don't mind Jessie's cooking." The male voice made me jump. Bruce sat down across from me, next to Jessie. "So what's happening, new girl?"
"Looking for some dude named 'Snyder'".
"You're looking at him."
I choked on my cookie. "Your name is Snyder?"
"Bruce Snyder. The one and only!" He bellowed, causing some people to glance at us. "What did you want?"
"A textbook called Professional Price and Princessisim." I struggled to say it without laughter bubbling out of me.
"Ah. Laws Of Princessisim. I had that class last year." Elaine interrupted.
"It's soooo fun! I cannot believe you got that class! You're going to love it!" Jessie, with her usual sugary and sickening attitude, chirped in.
"I found it dramatic. The curriculum here isn't the best in the world. The only reason why all of us royalty-to-be go here is because so many queens in history went here." Elaine turned her page as she spoke.
"You're just full of fun facts." Bruce smacked Elaine's hand.
"Don't do that." She pulled her hand away. Elaine was very no-nonsense, but sweet. At least she understood people. "But, it is a fact that the very first king of Asterine founded the school, and gave up his castle so people like us could learn in it. He built himself his own castle off the coast of his kingdom."
