So a couple cool powers I have that Spiderman doesn't have. I feel I should mention these before I get going with my day. I have acid spit, which I've figured out how to control. I have a venom strike. An ability to create illusions, and an ability to breathe underwater.
I also have the same natural super healing, super strength, spider sense, and the web slinging ability. Yeah I know woohoo. Well suppose I should stop breaking the fourth wall and get to the story now huh?

The bell rang, and shit I was late for class again. How come I always got caught up in my thoughts? I raced down a hallway and up a flight of stairs. Unable to see my shoe laces flopping about, and my spider sense not protecting me from tripping. I barely caught myself as my papers went flying everywhere.
"Shit," I muttered to myself, collecting myself.
My English professor looked at me with a disapproving glare from his doorway.
"Three minutes past eight, Gwen, you're late, as usual," he said as I passed by him into his classroom.
The tables were lined up in their standard way, and I was left to find a seat. Anya, as per usual waved me over to sit next to her. She was a brown skinned girl with a fair complexion. Brown eyes that seemingly resembled the dirt in which plants grew. She had a green thumb too, always managing to have the most beautiful plants. Incredibly intelligent, and quite possibly the only true friend I have left, besides Leo. She'd supported me from the moment I came out.
We hung out all the time, well when I'm not saving the city that is. Though something tells me she's catching on. However we never hung out during the summer. She was always at some summer camp near long island during the summer. She and her girlfriend Emily.
Emily was a bit of a trouble maker. Her black hair was always wild, and her sea green eyes glinted with a serious hint of mischief. We got along, though Emily was not someone I'd share everything with.
It was fine that they were away during the summer though. Left me time to hang out with Leo. He went to a school in England, something about pigs and pimples, I think the schools name was. Apparently it was a school for gifted kids. I didn't see what was so intelligent about him, he didn't seem all that bright. I mean he wasn't stupid that's for sure. More of a brave soul than anything. He was probably the only one that knew about me being a spiderling.
"Gwen! Would you mind discussing the reading last night?" My professor said staring at the empty space on my desk.
I hadn't been paying attention again, and everyone had gotten out their books already. Instead of getting flustered as was expected of me, I simply began speaking. Talking about what I'd read in Hamlet and such.
The day went on, I still think the best thing about it was lunch. That was the best part about any day truth be told.
Not this day though, sixth period was probably the most exciting. Emily was causing trouble with the sub as she usually did. Something about the sub seemed off though, she was a little weird to say the least. She smelled like a moist reptile, and I could've sworn I saw a forked tongue flick out at one point.
When the sub called Emily to stay after class I sensed something was up. I wasn't going to go anywhere cause I was supposed to meet Anya by the classroom with Emily after school anyway.
