Soundwave stood, silent as always. He assessed the situation before, that situation being the nagging SIC.
"Well? I need proper coordinates." The SIC said irritated. Soundwave, however, ignored him and continued decoding energon signals.
"Soundwave! I demand you obey my orders!" He screeched. Again Soundwave ignored him. Starscream angrily muttered to himself and shoved the silent mech aside and worked to find B693 himself. The Seekers wings fluttered up when he found the Vehicons energy signature.
Before he could download them, Soundwave angrily slammed his slender servo against the panel.
"What are you doing?" Starscream asked shocked, not ever seeing this agrression from the TIC. "I- Our master must see this. Don't tell me you're in on all of this." Starscream accused bringing his face closer challenging the masked Con. However he quickly withdrew when Soundwave excepted his challenge and lowered his helm down towards Starscream.
He gulped, but continued.
"I'll see to it that the sparkling has a family reunion with its Sire." He said with a nervous chuckle he tried to make confident. But like an idiot, Starscream had never even thought Soundwave was recording their little chat.
Starscream quickly ran out of the room and towards the ground bridge. Meanwhile Soundwave went to find his Master.
B9 hid under a large tree as he heard distant engines circling him. He sat down under the tree, he knew Starscream had once again found him, however there was no longer a Prime to save him. B9 did not flinch when he heard the SIC transform before him. He wanted to let the bastard know he did not fear him.
"Ahh, hello again B963." He said grinning, "Look at you~ no retched Autobots to help you. And from what it appears no sparkling either." He gets threateningly close to B6.
"Whatever you wish to do, just do it." B6 responded blankly. His voice lacked any kind of emotional input. He said what was on his processors and went silent.
"Oh come on now, don't make this too easy. Don't you want to see your sparkoing again? I mean, if you beat me there will be no one stopping you. You must tell me how you got that pesky mute to keep a secret like that for you." B9 got up and closed the gap between the two. He then closed the gap between his fist and Starscreams face plates.
"GAH! You little GLITCH!" Starscream yelled holding his 'cheek' with one servo and getting his blaster pointed at B9 with the other.
B9 just stared at the blaster aiming straight for his chest.
"You'll never get your hands on him!" B6 cried out right before Starcsream fired.
In his last moments, B9 prayed to Primus and the well of the allspark. He apologized for his past mistakes, including his own existence, but he begged for his sins to not be reconciled by his sparkling. He had a chance. A future.
'Please. Optimus Prime. Keep him safe.' He begged for silently, before his optic lenses slowly got dimmer and dimmer. He felt no pain, just regret, as he slept in his eternal slumber.
Soundwave finished playing the recordings. All of them. Every single word of B6's. Every overheard conversation. With every replay guilt built up in him. He could see the anger and disappointment in Megatrons optics, and they were trained at him.
"I would expect this kind of treachery from Starscream. But from You? One of my most loyal cons? Tell me. Why did you feel the need to keep this from me?" Megatron demanded with an eerie calm.
"Declaration: I deeply regret my secrecy." Soundwave said with a mix of many voices. Megatron stayed silent. He knew he had always kept secrets away from Soundwave, like he and Optimus bond taht still told each others feelings, but try as he might, he had a tendancy to be hypacritical. But now he understood Optimus's previous surge. But that only meant one thing.
And Megatron didn't like it one bit.
"Where is B6 now?" Megatron asked with a growl.
"Theory: Offline. Starscream has been tracking him." Soundwave flinched when he heard the crunch of the armrest that lay tattered under the warlords fist.
"Of course that idiot would do this." Megatron sighed. His optics were closed briefly before he opened one and peered down at Soundwave. He stood up, slowly, like a stalking feline. His every step towards Soundwave filled the silent Mech with the dread of death and the happiness that his Master was close to him.
"Soundwave." Megatron spoke leaning on one knee before him. Soundwave could now hear his own spark beat loud in his helm. "Why keep this from me?" He reached out and gently touched Soundwave's chin.
Soundwave could understand B6's attachment. Any touch from Megatron was euphoric. He could almost grow jealous from the beat down Starscream received. All that contact. But when it was gentle, like this, and when Megatron seemed so calm, like this, Soundwave almost fell from his crouched pose.
Slowly Megatron dug his sharp digits into Soundwave's mask and pulled it off with a slight sting of pain. He stared into the rarely seen purple optics. Large. Wide. Almost innocent. They contained so much knowledge, yet in this moment, all of it was lost and Soundwave began falling into a pit of bliss.
"Why. Did. You. Lie?" Megatron whispered, his burnt and torn derma almost touching the delicate and slim ones.
"I'm sorry my master." Soundwave said. No voice module. No recordings. He spoke to his Master. Not for him.
Soundwave nuzzled into Megatron's large palm. A sharp digits began playing with the tip of his audio fin. A purr almost resonated within Soundwave, and he would've closed his eyes in bliss if it didn't mean he couldn't look into his master's eyes.
However he was thrown out of the bliss once Megatron huffed and pushed Soundwave back.
"Find me Starscream. I need a word with him." Megatron said standing up with his back to Soundwave.
Soundwave scrambled to grab his mask and out it back on. He stood up and nodded, his silent demeanour back on and he went to do his duty.
