The Madonna of the Polar Star

Chikako's P.O.V.

After recovering from that horrible foodgasm caused by Soma-kun, I immediately headed out to get my ingredients for being able to live in the Polar Star dormitories. The streets were deserted since it was almost night time, as I was waiting at a stop light to turn to walk I saw two figures running across the street. They didn't even notice that a truck was about to hit them, without thinking I took off my scarf and charged towards them wrapping my two tentacles around them saving them in a nick of time. While catching my breath I was about to scold them until I realized that they were Totsuki students, but not just any students. They were the first and second seat of the Elite Ten; Tsukasa Eishi and Kobayashi Rindo, who were looking at me wide eyed at what just happened.

"Ar-are you two okay, Tsukasa-senpai, Kobayashi-senpai?" I asked concerned, while realizing that some of my ingredients got crushed by the truck while saving them "We-we're alright." Tsukasa-senpai stuttered while looking at  my tentacles. "Are any of you injured, if so I have a first aid kit on me right now." I said frantically to them "We're fine here my little kouhai." Kobayashi-senpai said putting a hand on my shoulder and smiled. "That was some save. I didn't even notice the truck while chasing after Tsukasa." she said while awkwardly laughing at what just happened "The real question we should be asking is if you're okay?" Tsukasa-senpai asked with a concerned look on his face. "Like  what would happen if you were the one hit by the truck?! I wouldn't even forgive myself for letting that happen! Or rather what would have happened you didn't come to save us!! Or..." Tsukasa-senpai ranted on about what would've happened to them "Don't mind him, he's usually like this." Kobayashi-senpai said to me with a grin. "Now my little kouhai, you must be Chikako, right?" she asked with cat like grin "Hai." I said looking down as I wrapped my scarf to then hear the sizzling of the tentacles going away. "We've been wanting to talk to you." Kobayashi-senpai said gesturing to herself and Tsukasa-senpai, who stopped his rants and nodded as he helped me up.

"Can we do this tomorrow, because I really have to head to my dorm." I said to them, since it has been a long day with; the entrance ceremony, arguing with Nakiri-san, classes, and surviving Soma-kun's experiment "Hai, we'll be scheduling it tomorrow then, right Tsukasa?" Kobayashi-senpai asked with a cat like grin, as Tsukasa-senpai nodded. "We can give you a ride if you want." he suggested, gesturing to a black car that showed up out of nowhere "II-e, but thanks for asking." I said grabbing my things and jumped up to a speed close to mach 20 to land in front of the Polar Star dormitory and by looking at it, it wasn't what I expected.

The whole building was covered in ivy along with the gates making it look like a haunted house, it also didn't help that crow was their squaking like crazy. After pushing and closing the iron gates that let out a rusted squeaking afterwards as I made my way towards the front door of the dormitory. 'Boy if my dad saw this, he'll immediately start fixing and cleaning this place top to bottom. That is if he stayed in his octopus form.' I thought while looking at the building before going through the front door where the first thing I heard was a high pitch scream. Which almost made me jump and drop my stuff on the floor, but my tentacles luckily caught all of them before hitting the ground. 'Is this place haunted?!' I screamed in my head, while looking around "Are you perhaps the other transfer student?" said an elderly voice from behind, which me drop my stuff and try to hide in the corner of the room. After a second I opened my eyes to see an elderly woman looking at me with an eyebrow raised at me, but I could also tell that she was also stunned as well seeing my tentacles and how fast I reacted. "H-hai." I said slowly getting down and grabbing my stuff "It seems that you actually brought ingredients to enter this dorm unlike the other transfer student. I am the caretaker, Daimido Fumio. A.k.a Fumio-san, the Madonna of the Polar Star. That's what your supposed to call me." she said with unamusement in her voice. 'Ah, so Soma-kun was here.' I thought after realizing there was a hint of squid and mackerel in the air from the kitchen "Hai, and I'm ready to take the test." I said smiling at her, which just made grunt and lead me to the kitchen.
