Your POV

-Notebooks, check.- I said to myself while making a mental note

It was Friday afternoon, and Lewis offered to come over so that we could go over math homework a little bit; I accepted and now I was nervous, waiting for him to come.

Everything seemed to be in order and I was giving a quick check around when the doorbell rang. I opened.

-Hi, are you ready?- it was Lewis, who was now standing in my door

-Sure, I guess...- we giggled -Come in-

-Wow, I haven't been here on a while.- Lewis looked at his old room -Wheres Goob?-

-He had a game, but I think he'll be back soon

We both  sat at the table in my room. At the beginning, while sitting there listening to all that long explanations I was starting to feel annoyed, but then I realized that I was finally getting that alone time with Lewis I've been wanting not so long ago; I smiled involuntarily.

-What?- he asked, and I noticed I was actually smiling while looking at him

-Uh?- I blushed -Nothing, go ahead-

He nodded and kept explaining things and I was there pretending to pay attention while I just couldn't stop looking at him. He was always so cheerful and smart... the sound of his voice took me out of my thoughts.

-Do you understand?- Lewis asked, I nodded even though I didn't -Ok, let's continue-

An hour and a half since he arrived and, though we almost finished all the homework, I just couldn't focus on anything except Lewis.

I was sitting with my elbow on the table, resting my face on my hand. That was it, I needed to tell him.

-Lewis...- I stopped him from solving whatever he was doing on his notebook, he turned to me -Have you ever had a crush on a close friend?-

Lewis's POV

-Lewis...- [Y/N] stopped me from solving an equation on my notebook and I turned to her-Have you ever had a crush on a close friend?-

My heart stopped beating for a moment, If she confessed she loves me, everything will be different in my future; but if I rejected her from now, I would break her heart and I don't want to see my best friend suffering like that because of my fault. I decided to listen to her.

-I don't know...- She was about to speak, but I just couldn't let her talk -Oh, look at how late it is, I'm sorry, but I should be going-

-It's ok, don't worry- I stood up as she did the same -We definitely have to do this again later, ok?-

-Sure, see you, bye - I waved goodbye and left, for walking all the way home. I called Wilbur.

[timeskip]

-What do you mean she confessed?- Wilbur asked scared -I still exist, did you rejected her?-

-No, I didn't let her talk.- he sighed in relief -But I'm sure she was about to confess-

-Ok, It is time to enter the second phase of the operation. I guess I'll have to flirt with her- Wilbur said doubtfully

-Wait, that's cruel- I complained -What if she actually falls in love with you? You tell her you're my son from the future and you reject her because of the possibility of ruining space-time continuity?-

-That's not going to happen, trust me- I rolled my eyes -Wilbur Robinson never fails-

Ok, so we are in phase two now. I feel scared, Wilbur has almost no good ideas and I don't want to see [Y/N] suffering if the plan fails. I don't want her to get hurt and I don't want to ruin the actual future. Plus, I really like Franny and since they're best friends, it would be rude of me if I ask her out knowing [Y/N]'s feelings for me. I just really really hope everything turns out well.
