"What wedding?" I ask. Then, it hits me. "Oh. Hey! Sori, you can't just say things like that!" I yell, my face turning pink from embarrassment. "Sorry about her," I apologize to Nathan.
"No worries. She's not wrong, she can wait," he says casually. "What does that mean?" I ask, raising my eyebrow. "I don't know, guess you'll have to wait and see," Nathan shrugs, walking away.

It's been almost 2 years since that day. Since that conversation. Since the last time I saw Nathan.
Right after we got back to the hotel, my manager called. Another artist had dropped out of a festival and he had managed to book me for the spot. I had to get back to Seoul immediately. "This is huge! It could be what solidifies your spot at the top!" he had insisted.
Nathan helped Sori and I throw all of our belongings in our bags, and even went with us to the airport.
"Sorry I have to leave so soon," I apologized. "Hey, it's fine, I get it. We'll see each other soon anyways," Nathan smiled.
"Last call for flight 455 to Incheon."
"You better go," Nathan said. I nodded, pulling him in for a hug. "Text me when you land?" he asks.
"Of course," I nod. "Let's go, Hani," Sori called.
I had started to walk away when Nathan called my name.
"Hani!"
"Yeah?"
"Don't forget about me, alright?"
"I'll never forget about you, skater boy. I promise."
I texted him when I had landed. He responded saying he was glad we got there safely, and told me to get some sleep.
He never texted again.
I know he saw my texts, he has his read receipts on. But he never responded back. And after sending 5 texts over the course of a few weeks, I gave up.
But, I sure kept my promise, though I had no choice. I never forgot him. There hasn't been a day that's gone by where he hasn't crossed my mind. I did everything - got rid of any photo with him in it, unfollowed him on social media, avoided all figure skating news for months, went on dates with other guys. Nothing worked.
That's probably why I'm here, in my room, tears in my eyes as I watch Nathan win his 3rd consecutive Skate America.
Suddenly, my TV is turned off and the remote is flung at me.
"Um, ouch," I say, finding the culprit to be none other than my sister.
"You absolute dumbass. Stop watching it. You're just hurting yourself," Sori sighs, sitting down on my bed.
"In my defense, I was gonna turn it off once he came on. I really wanted to see Junhwan and Jason."
"Oh my God, you're crying. You're crying over him!" she exclaims once she notices my tears. "Hani, I love you, but you've got to get over him. You didn't even date!"
She's right. Nathan and I never actually dated. Hell, we didn't even kiss. So why did it hurt so bad?
"I know, I know, I'm sorry."
Sori puts her hand on my thigh. "It's okay. You need to pack, though, we leave for France tomorrow."
I nod, slowly pushing myself out of bed. "Maybe performing will help me get out this funk."
"That's the spirit!" Sori smiles. "Maybe performing Solo and putting on the baddie outfit will make you forget about that loser!"
I wanted her to be right. But I was very unaware of who else was going to be in France.
