Chapter 4

Ellie’s P.O.V

“I’M HOMMMMEE!!!” Louis shouted as he entered the large house. I stayed outside, a bit hesitant. The sun was all gone now, and the sky was a dark blueish color with the stars just peeking out. I stared at the “Home sweet Home” mat at the entrance of the house. I felt like I didn’t belong here, but then again... I didn’t.

“Louis, Louis!!” two voices made me look up and snap me out of my thoughts. Two small girls the same age were running towards Louis holding out their arms in a welcoming hug. They both had blond short hair and the cutest blue eyes.

They wrapped Louis in a huge hug and Louis hugged them back.

“Phoebe! Daisy! How are my lil girls?” Louis asked hugging them.

“We’re great!” One of them said.

My heart melted. It was such a sweet sight, seeing family hug each other welcome, and just showing each other their love. Something I never had or experienced.

“Who’s that, Lou?”  One of the girls asked, breaking out of the hug and gazing at me with interested eyes.

Louis looked back and mentioned with his hand to come in. I stepped in cautiously and smiled at the small twins.

“Louis! Lottie’s- who’s that?” Another girl with dark brown hair came in and stared at me.

“This is Ellie. She-” Louis started but got cut off by yet again, another girl who actually looked about my age. Holly, how many sisters does he have?!

“Louis. I SWEAR I didn’t-” she got cut off by me again. This sister had long dirty blond hair and was really pretty.

Everyone stared at me and then at Louis expectantly.

“Is she your new girlfriend?” the girl with the brown hair asked him.

“No, no, no, no ,no! She’s just a friend.” Louis said laughing nervously.

“Oh okay...whatever you say Lou.” The blond haired girl said.

Louis cleared his throat. “Well, this is Ellie. And she needs a place to stay so I thought she could stay here and-”

“Who needs a place to stay?” a woman came into the room, wiping her hands on a towel. She looked like an exact copy of all the sisters.

“Ellie.” Louis said pointing to me. I cleared my throat.

“Um, hi! I’m Ellie, and if it’s alright..can I please stay here for the night?” I asked politely. I think I sounded pretty polite at least.

“That would be alright!” Louis’ mom said with a smile. “We have a guest room you could use.” His mom said. I think a huge load just got lifted off my shoulders.
