SUNDAY, 4 NOVEMBER
MARCELLO LOCKHEARTI shot Nathan an annoyed glare as he told me to hurry up. If I walked any faster, Corbyn, Dallon, and Zach would notice my hobble. And they were the ones I was scared of.
Maybe this was why I normally dated guys that were Matt's size. They didn't have the force and stamina of a football player.
Speaking about football players, I eyed Matt as he cuddled with Ryder in the back row of the car. I even eyed Zach. Even thought about Aiden, and Nick.
How long did it take before they got used to it? How long before they stopped walking like a newborn giraffe after every rough night?
"It hurts, doesn't it?" Nathan didn't spare me a glance as he started the car.
"Don't flatter yourself," I grunted as I tried to get comfortable.
"If you wanted to keep it a secret, you could try looking like you aren't sitting on an acorn."
"Finally gave in?" I could hear Corbyn's smirk from the back row. I didn't need to turn around. "Isaiah owes me a twenty."
"Ew," Matthew murmured.
"Matt, you're the last person in this car to have an opinion," Ryder scolded.
Nathan glared at the two in the mirror, and I couldn't help but laugh. He still hadn't accepted the fact that his best friend was dating his brother. "You two are gross."
Something tells me he wasn't over Ryder's story from Damon's party either.
Anything was good to talk about if it wasn't my ass on the table.

"I tried to clean up as good as I could the last time I was here." Nathan led me up the stairs, albeit slowly. "I didn't do much. Especially since I was so stressed."
I only frowned at what he referred to, along with the strewn bottles along the edge of the staircase. But the house was lovely past the damage and lack of care. The walls were lined with unusually distributed photo frames and it was clear some were missing. I was walking up the Covington timeline. The farther we went up the stairs, the older Nathan and Matthew appeared in the photos.
"He knocked down a lot of the photos with our Mum in them, so I grabbed the rest and hid them in my closet before they were destroyed." Nathan grabbed my hand and tugged me away from his sophomore year and Matt's freshman year portraits. That was the last of the timeline and the top of the staircase. "I have to replace a few of the frames, though."
"What does your room look like?" I asked. From what I know, only Matt's room was destroyed. Zach did tell me that Nathan's room was something worth seeing too.
Matt and Zach, and the rest of who tagged along were already at the top of the staircase. But those two started giggling at the drop of my question.
"Is it still there?" Zach whispered.
Matt didn't answer him, just tugged him around the corner of the hallway.
But Nathan just sighed as he watched the rest of them follow Matt into the room at the end of the hallway. "Maybe taking Dallon and Ryder was a bad idea."
I was about to ask why, until the door opened and Ryder rushed out to shoulder Nathan brusquely aside a few metres before dragging me back towards the room with him.
What part of 'sore' do they not understand?
Nathan didn't even try to catch up, just glared at us from down the hallway before I was thrown onto the bed with the lock of the door.
