Theresa's Interrogation (The Dead Cure)

Newt pulled the bag off from Teresa's head. She was confused, looking around. Then she saw Gally and made a surprised face.

- Gally? - She asked.

I was sitting at the table and he leaned against me, sitting in my lap. I hugged him from behind and rested my chin in his shoulder.

- Here's how this is gonna go. - I looked at him as he dropped some kind of paper on the table.

- We're gonna ask you some questions and you gonna tell us exactly what we need to know.

She was so confused and afraid.

- We're starting with a simple one. - he stood up, took a chair and walked to her. - Where's Minho?

- You guys don't seriously think... - she was cutted by the big noise of the chair as Gally snapped it to the ground sitting on it backward.

- Don't look at him. Why are you looking at him? Look at me. - he said, pointing at his face with his finger. - He's not gonna help you.

We all knew that she was looking at Thomas waiting for him to explain. But Gally took over the place and started asking questions like Teresa was a criminal. Actually...she was at some point.

- Now we know you have Minho in the building. - he continued. - Where?

- He is being held with the others. - she said as she stared at the floor. - At level 3.

- How many others? - Newt asked.

- Twentyeight. - she said finally looking back at us.

We all turned to Brenda if she can deal with it. It was her part of the plan to take the kids out.

- I can make this work. - she said putting the card to the table that she was playing with.

- No. No. You guys don't understand. - Teresa started quickly. - The whole level is protected. You...you can't get in without a thumbprint ID.

- That's why you're gonna come with us. - Thomas said calmly.

- Well I don't know. - Gally tilted his head to the side. - We don't necessarily need her. - he stood up and pulled the chair away. - Right? Not all of her. - He walked to the table and grabbed a little surgeon knife. He kissed my cheek and then turned back to Teresa.

- We only need her finger. - he said aggressively, as he walked closer to Teresa. She was scared and looking for help.

- Sarah! - she looked at me. Like I was about to help her.

- What? - I asked looking at her. - What do you want me to do? - she didn't reply. - You betrayed us. All of us. - I walked closer. - Those people were building that place for a year. And you just destroyed it in a second. - I got more angry - People died that night.

I felt that everyone was staring at me. Especially Gally's look. He was worried about me. Like always.

- Can you imagine? Your one year work to build up a safe place to those who just simply want to live. Because we deserve to live. And it turned to ashes in a minute. And half of the innocent people died.

I've got really hot headed and just shouted it out:

- I got shot! - a mysterious silence came. I could only hear Gally's hard breathing. I was fighting with my tears. - I was fighting for my life for days. The only thing i can remember is that one of those guys were always next to me, holding my hand and saying not to give up.

A tear left my eyes and rolled down on my face. Gally came and took my hand.

- You know it's never gonna stop. - she looked at me almost in tears. - They're gonna keep hunting us. And we're gonna keep taking revenge.

I couldn't take it anymore and I started to cry. Gally got closer to me and Newt stood up.

- Even if you find the cure. Even if there's any cure. They're gonna hunt us down because of that. And we're gonna try to get in to have the cure.

I turned to Gally and hugged him, pulling him to me as close as i could. I caressed his neck and buried my head in his chest. Newt came and put his hand on my back.

Newt was the one who saved my life that day when the Wicked attacked the right arm. He pulled me away from the fight. He was telling me that everything is gonna be alright.

He was my brother. He was holding my hand and cried for me as fainted away.
