13 years later...

Sallem's Pov

"Soohyun can I come to your place to get ready?" I say as switch my phone from the left hand to my right, holding it in place with my shoulder.

"Yeah, oh and I got us our ids back from that one place, they reminded me that we're almost legal!" I laugh and respond, "That's good I was seriously starting to get worried we were running out of places to go," I put away the last pair of socks in the drawers.

"You would think these places would have like a black list or something for underage people entering, but I guess we are just as dumb for doing it in the first place," Soohyun laughs as well, "Ok, I'm hanging up now and I'll see you when I get there."

"Okay see you!" She hangs up and I power off my phone and then put it in my right back pocket. I look through my closet to find my two-piece set and hang it on my left arm. I get my high heels and makeup bag from the side of my desk and place them on my bed along with my dress.

When I get my purse I grab everything off my bed and go out of my room and close the door.  I walk down the short hallway and living room until I get stopped when I'm about to head out the door a voice from the couch calls me.

"Oh Sallem...where are you going this time, no wait let me guess to that one club you and soohyun always go to?" I roll my eyes slightly and turn around to face her, "Since when do you care where I'm going?" I raise my voice a bit and she raises her eyebrow. "Don't raise your voice at me brat, I raised you to be a respectful girl, not to whore around in the streets, I don't even know how you have time to do all that shit, have you been going to work?" I part my lips with an angry sigh coming out and furrow my brows.

"You never cared about what I do so what made you change your mind now? Is it the fact that maybe if I were not going to work I wouldn't be earning any money to give you? You rarely did anything just for me, I raised myself." I tell her my words coming out all sharp and fast.

"Why do you say that, even though you are the one who brings men home and takes their money when I don't even do half the shit you do!" I finish and right as she begins getting off the couch I start walking away. "Get back here Sallem!"

I open the entrance door and walk out of the apartment. I let out a scoff and walk down the building's hallway and reach the elevator. The elevator goes down to the first floor and opens up. Walking out of the building and to the parking lot, I take my car keys out of my purse and unlock my car which comes into view. I get inside and place my belongings in the passenger seat.

She should be grateful I'm paying most the bills.

Author's Pov

Sallem starts up her car and connects her phone to the BlueTooth and plays her music on shuffle. The drive from her apartment to Soohyun's was about twelve minutes long. Sallem turned up the music and drove off on the way to Soohyun's place.

"Sallem you're finally here!" Soohyun yells when she opens her front door and goes to give Sallem a small hug. "Soohyun please calm down I just saw you today at the campus."

"Sorry I feel extra excited for tonight, we've never been to this club before and I heard there are better drinks and music!" Sallem smiles at her friend's cuteness.

"Yeah, I guess I am too, but let's go inside and get ready I want to show off the new set I bought," Soohyun opens the door wider until Sallem walks inside. "Mom's not here because she had to stay a few more hours at work." Sallem takes off her sneakers and looks up at soohyun. They head towards the stairs.

"Bummer, it's been awhile since I've seen her," Sallem follows Soohyun up the stairs to her bedroom. "I know, she asked when you were going to visit and have dinner with us." Soohyun quickens her pace when she sees her door in view. Sallem follows her pace while holding her makeup bag which was slowly slipping. They head inside the room and Sallem sets her belongings on soohyun's bed quickly.

"So are we starting with makeup or what?" Sallem takes out the necessary makeup and places it on soohyun's vanity while soohyun takes out her straightener. "Okay let's get this started!" Sallem laughs then grabs her makeup bag and heads to the bathroom. Sallem goes for a natural look with a yellow eyeliner on her bottom waterline with a light pink lip liner and lipgloss.

"How do I look?" Sallem exits the bathroom and asks soohyun who replies, "Beautiful as always, how bout' me?" Sallem looks at soohyun's smoky eyes and red lipstick. "Looking great looks like you finally nailed the smoky eyes" Sallem bites her lip to keep herself from laughing as she recalled how last time soohyun tried smoky eyes she ended up looking like a raccoon.

Soohyun glares at Sallem then says, "Hey I'd like to see you try something new! I nailed with practice" Sallem laughs responding, "Okay sorry, I'm going to finish up"

"That's what I thought," Soohyun says. Sallem heads into the bathroom with soohyun's straightener in hand. Sallem straightens her hair carefully to tame all her baby hairs on the sides. Sallem puts on her yellow two-piece shaping the slight curves she has. She puts her high heels on and then looks in the mirror. "Sallem you look great!" She says to herself.

"Hey, are you done talking to yourself?" Soohyun peeks her head in the bathroom and giggles as Sallem holds her chest.

"Soohyun! Don't scare me like that you almost made me pee myself, ew" Soohyun giggles and responds with another question, "Okay, then should I scare you another way?" Sallem glares at soohyun. "I didn't mean it that way soohyun, you don't have to analyze everything I say and don't answer a question with another,"

Sallem's Pov

"But I'm ready, let's go" I walk out of soohyun's room and start walking down the stairs. Following behind soohyun skips down the steps in front of me. When she lands at the bottom she lets out a soft sigh and asks "Do you think you'll end up with someone this time? Or will you stay the loner you are?" She makes a fake pout face.

I step down next to Soohyun and blink at her like nothing was said "For real?" I ask her before I walk out the front door. Soohyun follows behind me closing and locking the door. I guess Soohyun thinks I need a hookup to make me loosen up from all the stress in my life building up. Of course, we're still young and want to have fun. We're also in our second year in college but that's easy for us since we we were always good students.

Weird flex.

"Please, Sallem just this once try making another friend, or hookup whatever it may be maybe this will take some stress off but if this doesn't, just do it for fun. What bad is this going to do? The worst thing I can think of is getting an std from a one-night stand" she gasps "or getting pregnant" she enlarges her eyes and tells herself. This girl, she is crazy if she thinks I'd ever have unprotected sex with someone I just met.

I look at her for a few seconds contemplating whether I should listen to soohyun's suggestion. "Okay soohyun, I know you're annoyed of me and although it's a weird way to ask.... I'll TRY-" As I didn't get to finish my sentence she screamed.

"Yayyy! My wish is coming to life, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I shut my ears from her screaming right next to my face. She calms down and walks down to the uber she called earlier. I take my hands off my ears and walk to the uber too.

"Okay let's go, I'm so excited for tonight, I'm going to dance till I drop." She's so silly. We both get in the car and buckle up.

I hope so.
