The club was filled with people dancing to loud music, bass vibrating through our eardrums. People were going up for more drinks, and talking. Soohyun immediately asks me to get a drink with her. We walk up to the bar and sit on the empty stools next to each other.

"What drink can I get you ladies to start with tonight?" The bartender leans over a bit to listen to our orders.

"Could you give us the strongest drink you have please," Soohyun responds with a bright smile and whispers to me "He's pretty cute right, do you think he's single?"

I shrug my shoulders and look back at the dance floor. Everyone looks like they're enjoying themselves. I look over at the door to the VIP section. People, there are pretty lucky, they get free drinks and passes along with other benefits just by paying a membership, and let's say it's expensive.

I wouldn't say I'm broke because I have a part-time but it pays me enough to pay for all our necessities "Mom" and I share.

"Here are your drinks, enjoy" The bartender hands you the drinks. Soohyun immediately downs it and exhales.

"Ok, your turn" She grins while I grab my drink and then drink it. I stand up with Soohyun, "Let's go dance!" We make our way to the floor getting comfortable losing ourselves in the music. We danced for a while as the club seemed to look more packed. Soohyun suggests we get another drink.

"You aren't tired yet are you?" Soohyun asks and I shake my head. She nods and passes me my drink which I quickly drink and grab soohyun's hand to go dancing again. I move my hips side to side with my arms in the air going down slowly to match the pace of the more sensual song moving my hips and making my way back up to face soohyun. I smile at her and look around taking in my surroundings enjoying myself when my eyes land on a pair of eyes staring at me as I dance.

Handsome is an understatement. This guy's deep stare locked onto me making butterflies appear in my stomach. His short black mullet looks perfectly styled. The dress shirt shows his silver necklace with little rhinestones as they shine with the lights in here. He smirks and looks away when a shorter guy comes up to him laughing with a cute smile.

I look away and tell soohyun "I need to use the restroom" She responds with a "Let's go". On our way there someone stops us. He looked like he was about our age.

"Hey, sorry to stop you but I saw you and I wanted to tell you that you seem cool and you are beautiful." He stands there giving me all his attention looking awkward but trying to be confident.

I look at soohyun and raise my eyebrows at this boy who came out of nowhere. She mouths 'talk to him with a happy expression.' I turn around to face the boy, "Thank you.." As I speak and wait for him to tell me his name I notice that soohyun slowly walks away to leave us alone. Of course, she was going to take this chance to go have her time to look for someone to talk to like the social butterfly she is.

"I'm Joshua but my friends call me Josh" He smiles and lightly bows.

"I'm Sallem with two l's," I mentally shake my head pointing it out embarrassed.

He chuckles, "I like your name," He takes a look at the people dancing. "Do you want to dance?"

I shrug my shoulders "I'm ok with that" he grabs my hand as we go dance. He seems sweet, but why am I so awkward right now? "Did you come here with any friends?" I ask him and he responds "Actually yeah but we went off our ways when I told them I wanted to talk to you"

He puts his right hand on my waist, "Is it okay if I do this?" I put my hand on the back of his neck, "It's okay" I smile at his politeness. He's pretty cute.
