"Hey!" You stopped in your tracks, turning around to face the voice that had called you, pressing your book to your chest. It was Cedric Diggory. The grin on his face widened as his eyes roamed your face. You raised an eyebrow and motioned for him to continue speaking. "Tie your shoes," you looked down, confused. Your shoelaces were perfectly fine, what was he talking about? "I don't want you falling for anyone else."
You rolled your eyes and turned around, hearing his angelic laugh slowly fade as you made your way to the library. You had spoken around two words to Cedric in the past and they were, 'excuse' and 'me'. Girls fawned over him, the Hufflepuff Prince, but you were more interested in your studies than boys. Becoming one of the greatest witches of all time sounded a lot better than dating a prince in your mind.
You found your usual table and began your homework, falling in a deep trance of concentration, determined to finish it so Snape wouldn't give you a detention. Detentions were a big no for you, you had never had one and you weren't planning to, especially not in your seventh year.
You heaved out a sigh of relief as you finished writing the last word and you almost screamed when you looked up to be met with a pair of mischievous eyes. "Hi." Cedric smiled.
"Hi?" You placed your quill down. Cedric leaned closer to you and eyed your homework.
"I know you're busy today, but can you add me to your to-do list?" You almost choked on your spit and you hurriedly grabbed your books and quill, rushing out of the library. But he had already seen your bright red face.

It was a Saturday and you relished in the idea of curling up outside by a tree, just reading. People tended to stay away from you, and you were okay with that. Socialising wasn't a strong point of yours and you enjoyed the comfort of yourself and sometimes Hermione Granger who was a couple years younger than you.
You made your way to the Great Hall and sat down by the Ravenclaw table, book in hand, beginning to grab a few slices of toast, eating while you read. You became so deeply entranced in the novel that you barely felt the presence of someone appear next to you. You only looked up when the murmurs around the table included your name. "What? What's going on?" You mumbled to yourself. Turning to the right you almost fell off your seat when your nose almost brushed against the Hufflepuff Prince's. "Again? Do I even know you?"
Cedric smiled and reached out to tuck a piece of your hair behind your ear, forming a fire on your face once again. You weren't familiar with contact and the fact that Cedric was very attractive didn't help at all. His head was tilted and he was staring at you with the angelic smile he always wore.
"I'm a thief and I'm here to steal your heart."

After running away from Cedric, again, you found yourself outside by the lake. You picked a nice, big tree to settle under and observed your surroundings, making sure no Hufflepuff boys were lurking around. You let out a breath and began reading, getting lost in the imaginary world.
The crunching of leaves snapped you out of your concentration and you scowled as the same boy from this morning stood by you, watching you read. "Can I help you?" You snapped as he just gave you the same smile. He was always happy.
"You spend so much time in my mind, I should charge you rent." You stood up, dusting the dirt off of you and stepped closer to him. He seemed a little surprised, but his expression changed and he smirked, reaching out to once again tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. You were fast and grabbed his hand before he could. He looked down and then back at you. "Pretty feisty, hey? I don't mind that at all."
"What do you want, Cedric?" You let go of his hand and crossed your arms.
"If I were to ask you out on a date, would your answer be the same as the answer to this question?" You stood there for a little bit, puzzled. Finally working out what he said you frowned.
"Nice try." You began to walk off, but Cedric grabbed your wrist. You turned around and were met with his pleading eyes.
"Please?" You sighed.
"Fine."
His lips widened into a gorgeous smile and the butterflies swarmed as he pulled you closer to him, engulfing you in a hug. You inhaled his scent and smiled into his chest. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
✏
You sat across from him at the Three Broomsticks. He didn't stop staring at you, it was almost like he was admiring you. "You know, I've had a crush on you ever since third year."
You tilted your head to the side, trying to think back to your third year. You went red as the image made its way back into your brain. "I promise I'm not that bad at riding a broom. It was just an off day." You defended yourself, heating up as Cedric laughed, sending the butterflies to swarm and bump around.
"If I wasn't there to catch you, who knows what would have happened." Cedric winked at you and you immediately looked down, taking a sip of your butterbeer, hoping it would hide how flustered you were. He gently placed his hand on top of yours that was resting on the table. "I really like you, [Y/N]. I don't know if you could tell or not through the pick-up lines."
You mentally face palmed yourself. For a Ravenclaw, you definitely weren't very smart. "Honestly, I just thought you liked annoying me." You laughed with Cedric, realising that maybe you did have a crush on him too. Maybe focusing on boys wasn't that bad of an idea.

After you and Cedric's date, he offered to walk you back to your common room, which you politely accepted. You gently held his hand, feeling small next to the tall boy. You reached the door to the Ravenclaw common room, removing his hand from yours, you stood awkwardly in front of him. "So, I had fun." You smiled, looking down slightly as he just looked at you. "What?" Cedric just grinned cheekily and you internally groaned as you knew what was coming next.
"Your lips look lonely, why don't they meet mine?" Your mouth slightly parted in shock and Cedric took it as an invitation to lean in. He went in slowly, giving you time to move away, but you stayed still, your breath becoming heavy as his nose brushed yours. He gently pressed his lips to yours and your eyes fluttered open, wrapping your arms around his neck. He snaked his arms around your waist and pulled you closer.
If you were in a movie, you would have described the kiss like fireworks were exploding. You melted in his arms and your lips moved in sync. You pulled away to catch your breath and you almost passed out at the sight of Cedric's slightly ruffled hair and how red and swollen his lips were. He looked hot, and you were thankful for being out in public.
"Well, I wouldn't mind doing that again." Cedric smirked, placing his hand on your cheek, cupping the side of your face.
"Me too." You replied, almost a little shy. Cedric smiled again and quickly pecked your equally swollen and red lips. "Well, it's a bit late. I'll see you tomorrow, Ced, goodnight."
"Goodnight, love." You turned to the door, getting ready to knock and answer the riddle, but a cough made you turn back around. Cedric was still there, massive grin on his face. He ran a hand through his hair and you crossed your arms, waiting.
"Yes?"
"What has 36 teeth and holds back the Incredible Hulk? My zipper."
You choked.
