6th Year

"Wow, Harry isn't going to be able to take his eyes off of you!" Hermione said in awe as she looked over at you. You nervously rubbed your arm and smoothed down your dress.

"It doesn't cover much though, does it?" You crossed your arms over your chest and rolled your eyes as Hermione scoffed and pushed them away.

"It's about the same as mine." Now it was your turn to scoff. Hermione's dress was anything but revealing. How was it that she could pull off anything? She was wearing a peach coloured gown, lace over the bodice, while you were clad in a deep red satin gown, a slit going up the right side of your leg, the front hanging low while the back was open. Hermione had insisted that it would look amazing on you, and although it did, you couldn't help but feel overdressed. "You're not overdressed." It was like she had read your mind. "Now let's go before we're late."

It was the Spring Ball at Hogwarts and Harry had asked you to go with him. You had accepted, knowing that no one else would ask you if you declined. Plus Hermione was there to make sure you accepted. She was escorting Ron and you knew they had something between them.

Hermione linked her arm with yours and you exited the common room, making your way to the ballroom Hogwarts had established for events like these. It was only fourth year and up, unless the younger years were asked by someone older.

You walked through the halls, avoiding the passersby's gasps and exclamations at your appearance. It wasn't everyday you got dressed up, preferring to hide in your sweaters and leggings. Walking down the stairs you locked eyes with him. Not green eyes, but grey ones. He was accompanied by Pansy Parkinson and you watched him look you up and down. His eyes were void of emotion, but as his sight wandered back up to your face he gave you a subtle wink. Your mouth opened in an 'o' shape. You had spoken to Draco Malfoy a couple of times and every time he had left you flustered. Draco was confident, flirty, stoic, while Harry was sweet, kind and loyal. Yet you couldn't help but feel kind of attracted to both of them.

You spotted Harry and waved to him as his eyes landed on you, his jaw open. He quickly composed himself and offered his arm for you to take. You gently linked your arm through his and let him lead you into the beautiful ballroom, that had been transformed into a lovely spring setting. The ceiling was enchanted to represent a slightly cloudy sky, with the sound of rain faintly coming from the clouds. There were flowers placed in vases along the ground and plants hanging on the walls, giving off lovely scents. You could feel your nose begin to itch and tried to hold it in, now was not the time for your allergies to push through.
