It was Saturday, the busiest day.
You hung out there nearly all day, bored out of your mind. You were getting a little angry at the screaming children, who didn't care if they bumped into someone or knocked something over. They were everywhere.
You sighed, annoyed. You wanted to leave, but at the same time didn't, because then you'd really have nothing to do.
So you sat at the edge of a table, surrounded by unfamiliar children babbling excitedly amongst themselves loudly.
You watched as the animatronics performed, and laughed slightly seeing children trying to climb up onto the high stage but failing miserably.
"Hey. Who are you?" A curious child asked.
"Oh, uh, do you want me to move?" You asked, thinking she didn't want you at the table.
"No, I'm just wondering why you're staring at them!" She pointed to the animatronics.
"I'm not!" You protested.
She got a sly smirk. "Someone has a crush!" She teased, being her usual childish self.
You involuntarily blushed. "D-do not!"
She giggled. "So what's your name?"
"(F/N)," you replied cautiously.
She stood up.
"(F/N) AND THEM, SITTING IN A TREE, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" She pointed at the animatronics the whole time. "FIRST COMES LOVE, THEN COMES MARRIAGE, THEN COMES A BABY IN A BABY CARRIAGE!" She sang loudly. Too loudly. You guessed she referred to the animatronics as 'them'.
Many kids stared and laughed, while parents, even parents, giggled. The animatronics continued to perform on stage, although they kept shooting you glances.
Your face was scarlet red and you got up and quickly left. You sat in your car and breathed a sigh of relief. At least the kids hadn't followed you, you were already embarrassed enough.
"Goodness..." You breathed, trying to calm down.
I better run to the store while I'm at it, you thought.
So you put your car in drive and went to the nearest store.

You closed the trunk of your car after you'd put your bought groceries in it. Getting in your car and driving back to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, you couldn't help but remember the earlier event that occurred.

"(F/N)!"
You turn around, surprised. "Mike!" You called back, waving your arms.
He embraced you in a hug.
"How's the job going?" He asked.
"Great, actually," you replied. "What about you? Where have you been the past few days?" You asked, a bit concerned.
"I was sick. I had a bad cold, but I'm fine now," he smiled, his blue eyes shining.
You had returned back to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza after dropping your groceries off at home. You were bored so you returned. Upon entering, Mike saw you and decided to talk to you.
"I would say get better soon, but you already are," you joked, walking with him to a table, which was hard to find, you barely found two seats at the end of a packed table near the front, since all of the others were packed.
"Anyways, you don't have work tomorrow, do you?" Mike asked, sitting across from you.
You shook your head, remembering that tomorrow was Sunday. "Sadly, I don't."
He looked sad. "Oh, okay,"
"Is something wrong?" You asked, concerned.
"No, I just wanted to tell you something, but it can wait," he avoided eye contact.
"You can tell me," you said sympathetically, placing a hand on his arm.
He sighed but didn't look at you, nor answer.
You sighed in response. "I'll be right back," you smiled.
You went to the buffet before paying and getting a whole pizza. It would probably go unfinished, but who cares?
You walk back to the table.
"I got us some pizza," you smiled.
"Thanks," he smiled back. "Pepperoni is my favourite."
You laughed and grabbed a piece.
You were very curious what he was going to tell you, but you knew it would be very rude to pressure him.
It was awkward for a few moments before he slid something towards you. "Here," he said.
He didn't watch as you opened the small parcel.
"This is beautiful!" You exclaimed, picking up a gorgeous necklace from a vanilla velvet box.
The necklace had a silver chain, with a transparent blue heart sitting in a gold frame, connected freely yet securely to the necklace.
He blushed a little. "It's no big deal," he said sheepishly. "I thought you'd like it."
"Mike, I don't like it at all. I love it!" You went around the table and wrapped your arms around his neck in a hug. He hugged back, smiling.
You pulled away. "Thank you, really."
"Uh, (F/N)?" He asked.
"Yeah?"
"I wanted to tell you that I... That I.... Uh, like you?" He said it more as a question, as if he was unsure of himself.
"Really?" You asked, not showing any emotion.
"Uh.... Yes..." He seemed nervous.
You smiled. "Wow... You, of all people, like me?" You were a bit amazed. If anything, girls would be all over him if he were out in public.
"Yes, I do," he smiled, and seemed to relax a bit more.
"I know it might be... Overwhelming.... But I don't expect you to reply. It's not a request, or anything," he spoke. "Just... Think about it?" He smiled.
"Of course," you smiled back.
"Well, I have to start my shift now." He said, standing up.
"Aww, okay. Bye!" You gave him a hug, and smiled when you saw him blush slightly.
"Bye, (F/N)!" He said cheerfully, walking away.
"Bye!"
You took out the pendant he gave you and fastened it around your neck. It was gorgeous on you.
As you sat at the crowded table, you couldn't help but let one thought wonder into your empty mind.

Why me?
