Nightfire

After everyone calmed down and went to bed, I stayed awake. Thoughts were buzzing in my head like crazy. Slowly, I could feel insanity take over me. Unable to control it, I grabbed my axe and left. The wind was whipping through the night. I just kept walking unitl I reached a house. A sick and twisted grin spread across my face as I entered the house. Quickly I grabbed ductape and rope, before heading to the first bedroom.

When I opened the door I saw a little kid sleeping. He had short brown hair and he was kind of chubby. Silently I wrapped the ductape around his eyes, wrapped part of the rope around him, and knocked him out.

I walked down to the parents room and did the same to them. Hurriedly, I dragged them back to the forest, one by one. Slowly they woke up as I tied their hands together. The boy tried to shout at me, but the grin on my face just widened.

"Haha. Don't bother screaming. No one is going to hear you. Soon no one will ever hear you again. You'll pay for what you did. Justin." I hissed out his name and decided I would kill him last.

"Please don't kill me! Please! I'm sorry for what I did! I'm sorry!" He lied

"Shut up! Stop fucking lying to me!" I shouted

I grabbed the parents and hung them by their hands from a tree branch. Quickly, I wrapped ductape around their mouths. The sick and twisted grin spread across my face. Slowly, I dragged my axe down their face. Fear filled their eyes as they tried to scream.

"It's no use. Give it up. There's no such thing as hope." I whispered

Quickly I swung my axe and hit the father in his side repeatedly. Blood flowed down him, even when he was dead I didn't stop. Finally I grew tired and chopped his head off and watched all of his blood flow down.

Next, I hit the mother in her side twice. Slowly and painfully I chopped her legs and arms off. She died of blood loss and I chopped her head off.

I looked over at Justin and saw tears running down his face. Anger coursed through my veins as I watched him.

"Is this sad for you? Is it painful to watch people you love die?" I strung him up by his hands, "Hush now. Quiet now. It's time to lay your sleepy head. Hush now. Quiet now."

Slowly I brought the axe down on his chest repeatedly, until he was dead.

"It's time to go to bed." I chopped his head off and threw my axe at the tree

Voices filled my head and screamed at me. All of my emotions were tossed into a tornado and spun around. Uncontolably I recarved the smile in my face and carved a heart into the tree. Anger flooded me and I started to hit the tree with my axe repeatedly.

Tears started to roll down my face and the smile on my lips faded.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck! Fuck you life! Fuck you emotions! Fuck my life! Just fuck everything!" I screamed and slid down against the tree.

Tears continued to fall down my face as the wind whistel through the air. Gently making the bodies sway.

Bloodlust

I had slept well for a bit, dreaming about our trick-or-treat. But some images of blood woke me up.

I blinked my eyes, adjusting to the dark.

"Ari?" I asked, reaching for Nightfire. She wasn't there.

I grew worried, like she had left me. I cried a little, but harshly wiped the tears away.

"This isn't something to cry over..." I told myself. I got up out of bed, grabbed the tool belt Masky had given me, stocking it with weapons and essentials. I laced my boots and stepped out.

The night air was nice, but I was cold...

Whatever...I didn't want to waste any time finding Ari...

"Ari?" I whispered. "Night?"

I spotted a tree in the open, with three things hanging from a thick branch. I heard faint sounds from the distance.

As I neared the tree, I made out the three human bodies hanging from the branch. The moon illuminated the blood, making them shiny.

Ari was sitting at the base of the tree, her face buried under her arms, in her knees. She was crying. I never saw her cry before.

"Ari?" I asked, quietly and shy.

"What? Leave me alone..." she said hoarsely.

"Oh...sorry..." I backed off. "I just...wondered where you went...and..."

"You know damn well I don't like you out on your own." Ari snapped a bit.

I felt my lip quivering a little, and my eyes filling with the salty drops I hated to feel.

"S-sorry..." I told her.

Harshly I wiped the tears that had fallen. I had disobeyed...

Night stood, and came near me. "I'm taking you back home, and I'm coming back here. Stay at the house this time."

"Okay...but...oh..n-nevermind..." I faded my voice.

"What?" Ari asked.

"I was gonna ask if I could get some blood in my bottle but...I thought you'd say no..."

She sighed, taking the glass bottle from my belt. She popped the cork, and filled it with the fresh blood from all three bodies. She tightened the cork again and set the neck of the bottle into the loop that held it onto my belt.

She took me by the wrist, and pulled me along the whole way back to the house. The crickets singing was the only thing heard.

Ari dragged me into the bedroom, and made me get back in bed.

"Stay here." she told me, and left to go back to the tree.

I couldn't sleep...I sat up in bed, wanting to cry.

"Mrew."

I looked over the edge of the bed. Wade, my baby kitty, was looking up at me.

"Mew."

He wanted up.

I picked him up, and held him in my lap. He was warm and soft. He rubbed his cheeks against my hands.

"I love you too, Wade." I told him.

"Mro~ow."

I giggled, and set him beside me, then lay down. He snuggled next to my head on the pillow, and I could hear him purring.

"I love you too, Wadey..." I started crying.
