I know, we skipped Thanksgiving and Christmas, I can't read a calendar, moving on.
"Tonight is the night where I kiss Candace", Dustin said.
"Isn't kissing someone who doesn't want it, sexual assault"?
"Oh, she wants it, I can see it in her eyes that she likes me".
Candace came downstairs.
"Hey Candace".
"Hey", she said smiling.
She went into the kitchen.
"See".
Peyton rolled his eyes.
*Plays theme song*
Jackson slid down the railing and sat next to Claire.
"Five hours until 2036".
"I wonder if we'll have flying cars".
"Yeah...".
"So, apparently, at midnight, people kiss".
"Yeah".
They looked in the opposite direction blushing.
"So I'll see you later".
"Yeah".
They ran off in different directions.
At 11:50 on the roof
Sandy went up to Ryan.
"Hey Ryan".
"Hey Sandy".
"So, are you going to kiss anybody at midnight"?
Ryan smiled. He gently grabbed her chin and kissed her. She kissed back. Ryan pulled away. They smiled at each other. Claire went up to Jackson.
"Hey".
"Hey".
"I don't necessarily hate you anymore but it's nine minutes till midnight and I'm glad you're standing next to me".
Jackson smiled blushing. Dustin sprayed his mouth with breath spray.
"I still think this is a bad idea", Peyton said.
"Just watch and learn".
Peyton watched Dustin go up to Candace and try to kiss her. He laughed when she slapped him. He shook his head smiling. Gabriella went up to him.
"What is New Year's kiss", Gabriella asked.
"It's when you really like someone and kiss them at midnight".
"Oh, Peyton"?
"Yeah"?
"Can I kiss you at midnight"?
Peyton blushed.
"Yeah", he said smiling.
She smiled back. Lily started tearing up. Bailey went up to her.
"There's ten seconds left, tell him how you feel"?
Lily accidentally turned the microphone on.
"I can't tell Peyton that I like him".
Everyone looked at her as the fireworks went off.
"Happy New Year", Lily said quietly.
