He throws me into the wall, laughing. I fall onto the cold, hard ground holding my bruised cheek.

I don't want to give into him, I'm strong not weak. Struggling to get my bearings I stand up, determined not to show fear.

"Where am I!" I demand of him, but he remains amused and silent as ever.

He runs his eyes over my injured face and laughs harder now. I can feel tears starting to form in my eyes. "Where are my family? Let me go home!" I say, and I push him in his chest, making him stagger back a few steps with surprise. His face turns hard and angry, as though thinking of ways to kill me.

"Darling, you are home. This is where you live now. Trust me, its better here." he replies calmly.

So I guess he isn't going to kill me.

"And, where is here?" I ask, confused.

"Just a little escape from reality."

If I had known, then, the true meaning of those words, I would have sprinted for the door.
