"Class is dismissed!" Mrs. Young says.

Looking at the clock, I grab my book bag and walk out the door, but not before Lucas grabs my arm.

"I was wondering...." Lucas says, scratching the back of his neck. "Do you like, maybe wanna go out? I know we just met and all, but I feel like we kinda connected. And if not I totally understand, but will you at least be my date for homecoming?"

I just got asked out.... And to homecoming. By an extremely hot blonde guy.

"Um... Yeah, sure totally!" I stutter.

"Good!" he smiles. And then he holds my hand.

Oh. My. God.

"No way are we ever going to get this done in three weeks. I am so nervous." I explain to Lucas as we walk down brick row.

"Why are you nervous?" he asks.

He is so sweet.

"I have mondo stage fright. It's unbelievable." I mutter.

"It's ok, it's just our class right?" he asks.

"Yeah I guess..."

Even if it is ten people, I so do not want to pretend to be engaged in front of anyone.

"Tell you what, tomorrow is Saturday, and since we both have Saturday academy why don't we meet up at my house afterwards. I'll drive." he says.

"You know how to drive?" I ask, gaping.

I haven't even started learning yet.

"I'm sixteen." he says, and then he pulls out his drivers license.

"You lucky duck." I say.

I wish I could drive. That would make life a whole lot easier.

"Yeah, sure. I'll ask my mom. Thanks Lucas!" and with that, I take off towards the circle where my mom is waiting to pick me up.

I can see my sister's blonde head jumping up and down in the back seat.

"Hey mom." I say, climbing into the car.

"How was your day, Amber?" Kristen asks.

"Just wonderful. I got asked out. And I have a date to homecoming." I sigh, leaning back into the leather seat of the car.

My mom starts to engine and begins to pull out as my sister says "Oh my gosh, who!"

"Oh just this new kid, his name is Lucas. And he's really nice. Speaking of Lucas, mom we got assigned to be partners in drama class and he wants to know if I can come over tomorrow to work on our script." I ramble.

"Sure honey, as long as his parents are there it's ok with me." mom says as she turns a corner.

"Yeah, they will be." I reply.

And for the rest of the car ride I sit in silence paying to attention to my sister and mom's small talk, all the while day dreaming about Lucas.

When I get home, I immediantly go to my room to start doing my homework. I know, I'm a goody two shoes, but having a microscopic social life really gets you into a habit of doing your homework.

After finishing history and algebra three homework, I hear a small knock on the door.

"Come in!" I say, thinking it's my mom.

Instead, Kristen slips through the door, giving me a small smile.

"Hey sis, can you help me with Algebra?" she asks, frowning at the peices of paper clutched in her hands.

"Sure. Pull up a chair." I say, returning her smile.

My sister is in sixth grade, and she is extremely smart. She's taking eigth grade algebra.

Kristen lays the pages on the table and shows me a couple problems that are tripping her up. I help her out as much as I can and simplify the equations for her. After she fineshes, I wish her goodnight and give her a light kiss on her forehead.

She walks out of my room and gently shuts the door behind her.

I look at the clock which by this point reads 8pm. Sighing, I start on my other homework and eventually, I finish.

After doing so, I walk out onto the balcony connected to my room, and look up at the brightly shining stars. The brightest one which I named Meridian back when I was a little girl seems to wink back at me as my eyes are drawn straight to it.

Inspired, I walks back inside and grab the guitar I had gotten for Christmas. I'm still learning how to play, and Kristen is helping me learn, but I slowly begin to strum the strings and chords I she showed me this past week.

I start to sing softly, sitting on that  balcony for hours just playing my own little tunes. I look at my new phone and realize that it's midnight. Rolling my eyes and remembering that even though tomorrow is Saturday I still have school, I push myself off the ground and put my guitar back in its place.

Hasily I take a shower, brush through my long brown hair, brush my teeth, and shove my retainer in my mouth. It all takes about fifteen minutes before I walk back into my room and collapse on my bed, exausted.

"You fell for it."

I'm back in that same old park, except this time it's raining.

"You're still not telling me what's going on." I mutter at the girl.

The girl with the bright blue eyes and the blonde hair.

"Don't trust him, for if you do, you will be trapped forever." she continues.

"Who the heck are you?" I demand to know.

"Be careful."

"Amber wake up! It's Saturday so rise and shine for school." my mother's overly perky voice shakes me from the mystery of my dreams.

Then I'm reminded of what's going on. I'm going to Lucas' house today.

I better wear something nice.

"Hey, you look nice today." I spin around and come face to face with Lucas.

"Thanks... How was your first day of Saturday Academy?" I ask him.

This is the one class we don't have together.

"It was school on Saturday." he laughs.

I nod.

"So, you ready to go?" he asks, twirling his keys around his finger as he leads me towards his black car.

"Yeah, sure. Do you have the acting stuff?" I ask him.

"You bet. But I have something to show you first." he says with a small smile.

"Oh?" I ask, getting in the car.

"Yeah. Come on." he says, closing the door to his car behind me.
