"Let her go, Victor!" the blonde said.
They are to save me... Thank GOD!
"As if, Blondie! We found her, and we were just welcomin' her." the boy holding me said.
"By hurtin' her? Some welcome wagon." the black haired boy said.
Victor let go of me and then walked up to the group of boys. As I was about to walk away, one of Victor's boys held my arms in place, preventing my escape.
"Listen, werewolves. We found this girl on OUR turf. So that makes her ours." Victor said.
"Funny, because if I'm correct, everythin' from this part of Jamaica Estates to our house is ours. So you were trespassin' on OUR turf again, weren't you?" the blonde said.
"Like the Jackrats they are." said the red head.
Victor glared at the boys and then scoffed.
"Fine, take the girl." he said.
When Victor snapped his fingers, the boy holding me released me. I immediately ran over to the boys who saved me. Victor looked at me and smiled.
"This ain't over..." Victor said.
With that, he and his boys walked off. When they were out of sight, the blonde haired boy turned to me.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Yeah. My wrists are just sore a little." I said, rubbing them.
Where are my manners?
"Thank you for helpin' me back there. I'm forever grateful." I said.
"No need to thank us. Any girl on our turf is meant to be saved." the red head said.
"What's your name?" the black haired boy asked.
I hesitated for a bit.
"Alita..." I said.
"Nice to meet you, Alita. I'm Hiro." the blonde said.
"Cole." the black haired boy said.
"And I'm Dante." the red head said.
I smiled and bowed my head.
"What's a girl from the East doing all the way out here in Jamaica Estates?" Cole asked.
I scratched my cheek with embarrassment. I then spilled my guts about everything. When I was done, the boys looked at me with very sympathetic looks.
"We're sorry to hear that. We really are." Cole said.
"It ain't your fault. I just came out here to see if I could get somethin' to eat, and then maybe find a place to crash for the night." I said.
The boys looked at each other and nodded.
"Why don't you stay with us?" Dante asked.
I backed away a little in fear.
"It's okay. We wouldn't do anything that would make you uncomfortable. We ain't like those other guys that tried to pull somethin' on a girl on our turf." Dante said.
I felt a wave of relief crash over me.
"So, how 'bout it? You comin' with us?" Hiro asked, holding out his hand.
I hesitated a bit, contradicting whether to go with them or not.
I mean, they did just save me from eternal pain, regret, and embarrassment, so the least I can do is accept their offer.
