"Pup is the perfect name for her. What do you think, Alita?" Ryan asked.
The all looked at me with anticipation.
If they wanna call me Pup, I have no objections.
"Please Ryan... Call me Pup." I said.
The boys laughed and cheered.
Maybe bein' part of this gang won't be so bad. I'll make it up to these guys one way or another.
Winston then showed me to my room. It was a nice sized room. Big bed, a desk, a wardrobe, it's like this room was practically made for me.
"Make yourself comfortable. Dinner will be ready soon." Winston said.
"Alright. Thanks Winston." I said.
He smiled and closed the door. I took out my phone and there was still no messages, voicemails, or calls from my parents.
Hope they alright...
I took off the fur coat the man gave me and placed it in the wardrobe. When I got up, I put my phone in my back pocket and opened the door to my room. I could hear the chatter and laughter of the boys downstairs.
Maybe bein' the lil' sister of the gang will be fun. I mean, I never had any siblings, so maybe this is a good opportunity.
I went downstairs to see what was going on. I then saw Ryan, Luca, Bailey, Dante, Chase, and Cole playing Poker.
A game that I'm really good at... Looks like they startin' a new round. I'll see if they'll let me play.
I walked over to the boys and leaned against the back of Chase's chair.
"Whatcha guys doin'?" I asked.
"Nothing much. Just playin' some Poker." Ryan said.
"Mind if I play? I know all the rules and I'm really good at this game."
Some of the boys chuckled.
"What's so funny?" I asked.
"You sure you wanna play with us, Pup? We can get a little rowdy." Dante said.
"Why? You guys scared you might get your butt beat by a girl?"
Some of the boys "oohed".
"Alright, you're on, Pup." Luca said.
I pulled up a chair and we then started playing. After a good few minutes, I won the round.
Not really a surprise.
"Told y'all I knew how to play." I said.
"Don't get cocky. That was only one round." Cole said.
"Let's go again." Bailey said.
Luca gave us our cards and the next round commenced. Once again, I won.
"You must be cheatin'." Dante said.
"Or maybe you guys are just bad." I said, gathering the chips.
"Would you believe us if we said we were lettin' you win?" Chase said.
I looked straight at him.
"What? You guys are just lettin' me win?" I asked, looking round at the table.
All the boys nodded. I scoffed and then smiled.
Maybe they just doin' this because 1. I'm a girl, 2. They don't wanna see me sad if I lose, and 3. They don't wanna get too rowdy 'round me.
