Many weeks passed, and the visits Richard made continued, but i never got the chance to ask him if he knew my parents, but even though it was taking me so long to ask him, i had no limit of time. I could ask him anytime, though i couldn't waste time, i needed to know so i could find my father.
A day went by, i still didn't have the time to ask, and i couldn't, he was always with Mistress Elizabeth, which really made me want to strangle her with my bare hands...she was just too vain and stubborn, she depended on the people around her to do everything for her, and iv'e wondered for the last few weeks on how and why Richard would be with a woman like her, they were total opposites of each other, she was stubborn, and he was kind to people in a lower state than he was...but it was none of my business, i just needed to focus on asking.
I awoke one morning, as the usual routine went, eating the little breakfast we had, getting dressed, and walking downstairs to get work done, even though i couldn't do much...i was too small to be doing almost anything in the house. Me and Simon decided to get things done in the garden again...watering the plants, cleaning etcetera. As i was trying to water a few more flowers, i heard the gate open, and something coming through it, it sounded like a carriage, i turned my head and jogged toward the path where transportation usually passed, i saw the same carriage that Richard usually came in. I stopped at the edge of the path, and looked on as the carriage sped past me. I hesitated, but couldn't stop myself...i ran to a nearby tree that grew near the mansion's front yard, climbed it and watched the carriage stop. And once again, Richard stepped out, and greeted the Mistress.
Why is he so nice to "Her Ladyship", even though she wasn't all that respectful to anyone, she was always sarcastic. But that wasn't my business, i needed to ask today.
I watched Richard as he went inside, i had enough of watching , so i climbed down the tree...and followed him inside.
He went with the Mistress to the same place, as usual...the dining area. I sneaked towards the door that led there, and took a peek of what was happening. As i always saw it, they ended up talking about numerous things, and never stopped after a long time, which was really a nuisance in my point of view, so all i had to do was wait. Hours past, as i waited sitting outside in a corner near by the door, taking occasional peeks at them still talking. After a while, twiddling my fingers, i thought about how i was to ask Richard about my parents...whether he knew them and was close to them, if he didn't know them at all.
I took another peek again from outside the door, and to my suprise....no one was there anymore. I crawled through the door, and got to my feet. I looked around the room, but i couldn't find anyone in sight. I decided to look for him, even if it meant going anywhere. First, i looked in the hall, there was nobody there. Then i looked through the upstairs balcony, still no one to be seen. I looked through other various places in the house, but nothing...i couldn't find anyone. Finally, i decided to look in the Courtyard.
I walked through the spots on where i could find him, but i saw no sign of him. I started to run a few minutes later to see if i could find him a'lot quicker. I was to busy looking around myself while running forward that i hit my head on something that felt like a wall. I fell flat on my back, and sat a bolt up, and looked up in almost complete shock...and saw Richard, staring down at me probably in shock as well.
"Oh dear, are you alright little one?" He said, picking me up. " I'm fine..." I said, trying not to sound too suprised. " Right. You seem to be lonely , would you like me to accompany you for a while?" Richard asked me....this was my chance, i could final talk to him about what i needed to find out. With a smile, i nodded and i started to walk with Richard up the courtyard......................
A long while passed, and me and Richard had been talking about many things, including things that included Science, and he was surprised about how much i knew about many things being so intelligent for a child of my age. We got to the end of the courtyard after a few more conversations, i thought of trying to ask before it was too late. I swallowed hard, and let it out.
"Richard, do you know anything about my parents?" I asked looking up at him in the hardest desperation. He looked down at me for a moment, then kneeled to meet my height. "What is your complete name?" He asked.
" Myralyn Valerious Terrin" i replied...Richard looked at me in shock, i could figure why, and before i could Richard got to his feet and took my hand.
" I need to inform Elizabeth about this, you are from a family that should not be corrupted by the loss of a child like you, Come." He said with perhaps all the worry in the world. I half-walked, half-ran my way with Richard for his pace was faster than my own, we made our way to find the Mistress's room, a part of the house that i had never been to. I knew he could have known something about my family, and this was my chance to find them, although i didn't mention names, the fact that he knew someone from my bloodline that with any luck could lead me back to my Father.
