Where Are We? (Storytime Animator fanfic)

Chapter 1

Jaiden sat in her bed staring at the laptop screen as she looked through Twitter. It was all over the internet. Over the span of two months three of her fellow animator friends, Tabbes, SomethingelseYT and GingerPale, had gone missing without a trace. No leads, no signs of struggle, no suspects... Nothing. Some animators decided to lay low, assuming someone was targeting people like them. But Jaiden chose to keep posting, after all it helped her stay on her feet.

SCREEEE!

Plus it fed Ari.

Jaiden was about to call it a night when she got an Email from someone, and decided it wouldn't hurt to look. She looked to see it was from someone called 'The Host'. Strange, but she figured it was probably a business trying to be mysterious or something. But what she read sent a chill down her spine.

Greetings Ms. Animations

What did they mean by they know where they are? Did they mean her friends? Jaiden sat there in fear and disbelief before looking down at the light blue link at the bottom. Should she click it? What if this was a trick? She anxiously thought to herself before shaking her head. "No" she told herself. "They're my friends. I need to know where they are." And so with gathered confidence and a held breath she clicked the link. Though she could never expect what happened soon after.

The blue from the link immediately started to spread throughout her screen. "W-what the?!" She questioned aloud. Her mind scrambled through questions but before it could scramble for long the blue seemed to stretch from the screen and grab Jaiden by the wrist as a portal like shape started to form as well. "AAHHH!!" Jaiden shouted as whatever had her wrist started to pull. "HELP!! SOMEONE HE-" suddenly more of the strange blue substance grabbed her full on by the face and pulled her into the portal as she let out a muffled scream. Yet quicker than it came it left without a trace. Leaving the now normal laptop laying alone on the bed.

And that was the last thing Jaiden remembered as her world went black.

Hi! Sorry this chapter was so short, there are still a few things I need to figure out before going any further into the world of this story.

Also for some extra information, I will put any trigger warnings if I feel they are needed. Also I might not post as often as others considering I am a student who is forgetful and easily distracted. But if this story gets popular in the future I will definitely try my hardest to post as often as possible!
