Jamie's POV
It's been a month since the Apocalypse began. My baby brother is 9 months old now. It's November and we missed Halloween. We'll probably miss Thanksgiving too, but what is there to be thankful for in this world? Hopefully they can fix this thing by Christmas. We have to find coats soon because it's getting colder. All we have is an undershirt and a sweater. We need a coat in the winter. At least we can still make a fire to stay warm. After a month we learned a lot. We all learned that we have to be more careful when we play and stuff like that. Any of us older than 8 learned how to kill a walker with a knife. We all have a knife holder around our waist and we keep our shirts tucked in so we can easily grab them. We've only had them for about a week now so we are getting used to them. We've never had to kill one yet, but my parents say it will happen soon. My mom and my aunts learned how to shoot and they have their own guns in their pockets. Now all of us are armed except the ones who are under 8 years old. The rule is that all of the kids under 8 have to stay with someone who is older than that and has a weapon. Basically we have a buddy system. For the past 7 days we have been in training and learned how to kill a walker. The youngest one who knows how to kill a walker is my little sister Mckenna, she just turned 8 in June. It's funny how fast time went by. So, today felt different. It wasn't the usual, wake up and get dressed and get your knife kind of day, it was different. My parents and my aunts and uncles were keeping watch. They had killed a few walkers that got close to the fence. We have to be quiet because we don't want more to come. It was after lunch when my parents and aunts and uncles were keeping watch. My younger brothers and sisters were playing on the playground and my older brother Hunter(15m) and my brother Blake(17) were sitting by the campfire and talking. They also learned how to shoot and had their own guns. I walked around and enjoyed the nice fall day. It was getting colder and I was nervous that we would get really cold. Some of my brothers and sisters and cousins went inside the RV because it was cold. We had a large family that we somehow fit into a 36 foot RV. We had 6 adults and 17 kids with us;

My little brother Jace is probably 3 now so I'm going to say he's 3 now. Also, here's how our family is. My dad's twin sister is my Aunt Alice and she's married to my uncle mike and they have 2 boys, August and Ocean. My mom's younger sister is my aunt Claire and she's married to my uncle Chris and they have a daughter named Ava who just turned 2 before the apocalypse. They were trying for another baby before this all happened because they want to carry down the tradition of having a lot of kids. Anyway, it was after lunch when the kids started going inside because it was getting cold. My brother Griffin and my cousin Ocean were the only ones still playing outside. My mom had put my baby brothers down for a nap. The other 15 kids were in the RV either sleeping or playing together. I saw my brother Griffin and cousin ocean fighting by the top of the slide. I went over to them to make sure they didn't fall. They kept fighting and getting loud and my uncle Mike said, "Keep it down boys!" The bushes in the distance were rumbling so I realized there could be walkers there. I saw them get quieter and then I saw them arguing a little. Suddenly they stopped and I saw Griffin push Ocean down the slide. I ran over to him, lucky for him he was pushed feet first. He fell on his butt and everyone saw him fall. They all went over to him, he started crying really loudly. Everyone tries to call him down, poor ocean. My parents dragged Griffin to the RV, he was in trouble. They kept trying to calm Ocean down, but he wouldn't. He had only just turned 3 he didn't know any better. We had to leave before the walkers came. We got Ocean in the RV and gave him some ice for his butt. I went into the RV to help him and the others. As my parents and aunt and uncles came in the RV I heard the moaning, it was the walkers.
