Truth Behind Lies

Kevin was still on his bed, sleeping. Suddenly, Max, his dog jumped over him and started licking his face.

"Come on, Max! That's disgusting! Argh!" He woke up, annoyed. He quickly took a bath and went to school.

At school,

"K-Kevin.." Someone called from the back. He knew this voice, he absolutely does. He turned his back to her.

"Alice.." He hugged her tight.

"Kev, Kevin, stop it!" She pushed him away from her.

"What's wrong?"

"Look, Kevin, stop all of it. We're over. I didn't love you even."

"I don't care Alice! As long as I know that I love you."

"Kevin, stop this. I don't, deserve your love. All I want is fame but I didn't know I can be happy with that, Kev."

"Shut up, Alice. I know your lying."

"I'm not, Kev. It's the truth. The truth behind all these lies."

"No, Alice, no!"

"Kevin. Just please. Stop it."

"Alice?" Another voice called. It was a guy.

"Raf!" She turned to Kevin. "Kevin, this is my boyfriend. Rafael."

No words came out from Kevin's mouth all he did was walk out.

"I saw what happened, Kev." Nicole approached Kevin.

"Yeah.. You heard every single thing don't you?"

"I-i did, Kevin."

Suddenly, Kevin hugged her so tight.

"K-Kevin, I c-can't breathe.."

He let go of the hug,

"I'm sorry, I just need comfort.."

"Yeah, it's okay Kev."

Hours passed and their classes were done. Nicole was about to go when..

"Nik! Can you come with me? Please?" Kevin called out.

"Huh? Where?" Nicole asked.

"At the Art gallery, so, can you come with me?"

"Uhm, sor-" She didn't have the time to finish what she was saying because Kevin dragged her in his car. "What the? Kevin!!"

"Just come with me! I'll drive you home."

"But, Kev?" "Kev!" "Kev?!?" "KEVIN!!!!"

"What's the problem?!"

"My car! We left it there. You should've told me to come with you so that I could get my car!!"

"Argh, just, ugh, I'll take care of it."

"Fine!"

They reached the art gallery. They were together looking at the artworks different people made. As they were looking at the artworks, something caught Nicole's attention. It was a huge painting of... HER. It was really her, she remembered who made the artwork and it was her ex. Yes, he's the one who made it. Suddenly, tears fell on her cheeks. And Kevin saw her.

"Nikki? Are you okay?" Kevin asked.

Nicole hugged him tight, really tight to overcome the pain she's experiencing.

"I-i saw t-the.. a-artwork he m-made.. I c-can s-still remem-.. -ber" She said while crying.

"Shh. Nik, this is the truth behind everything." Kevin tried to comfort her but he couldn't.

They went to his car and he drove to some place else. They arrived in an open space.

"W-why are we here?" Nicole asked still crying.

"To make us feel better. Just shout whatever you want to say to anyone, to anything." Kevin said.

"Can I start?" She asked.

"Go on."

"HEY! YOU! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I MISS YOU?! YES, I MAY NOT HAVE SHOWN YOU HOW MUCH I REALLY LOVE YOU BUT NOW, YES, I LOVED YOU, I LOVE YOU AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! DO YOU HEAR ME?! WELL, YOU HAVE TO! YES, I TOLD YOU I'M OKAY BUT THOSE ARE LIES! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT YOU! I JUST CAN'T!" Her tears dried up and she felt better.

"My turn.." Kevin said. "ALICE! I SAW MYSELF IN WONDERLAND IN YOU, I KNEW WHAT LOVE IS WITH YOU! BUT WHY DID YOU LEFT ME?! YOU USED ME! I'M ANGRY NOT WITH YOU BUT TO MYSELF BECAUSE I WAS STUPID TO LOVE YOU! TO LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I TOLD YOU I'LL DO EVERYTHING BUT WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME?! I FEEL WASTED, ALICE! I WOULD NEVER ASK YOU OR EVEN BEG YOU TO COME BACK TO ME! BUT PLEASE! I WANT TO MOVE ON! I WANT TO TELL THE WHOLE WORLD HOW MUCH I WANTED TO MOVE ON! TO MOVE ON WITH THE GIRL WHO LET ME SEE WONDERLAND WITH HER BUT AT THE END LEFT ME AND TOLD ME THE TRUTH BEHIND ALL THOSE LIES!" He felt much better as well.

"Kev, thank you.."

"No, Nik. Thank you."

"Kev, can we have a deal?"
