3 months later...
Jun-Myeon stops walking and puts his sword and rifle down on the ground, "we will just rest here for tonight." I nod my head and took out the sleeping bags.
We have been travelling from place to place. It's not good to stay in a spot for long, you might get caught. Helicopters fly around at 8.10pm sharp every night, there's soldiers walking around, checking every homes.
There's nowhere safe anymore.
"Shh." Jun-Myeon shush my movements. I froze in my spot, holding onto our backpack. I move my hand to my sword, and look towards the ruffling sound.
"Who's there?" We hear a low voice speak out, I draw my sword out and point it at the two men.
They both have guns pointed at the both of us, "you're in our area." One of them with bright pink hair says, before he could say anything else, "you both are from The Empire." The realisation struck him.
"We're from The Phoenix—"
Jun-Myeon immediately took a step back and grab my arm, "no, no— our company.. t-they compromised, we're from the good side I swear— hey! We trained together before, case 90341." He put his hands up, defending himself.
"My name is Park Chan-Yeol, this is Oh Se-Hun." He introduces himself.
Case 90341 was one of the easiest missions of all. There was several missions where our company will meet other companies. There was so many people we met over the year but we just don't have the time to catch up.
"Here's my tag." Sehun pull out his necklace, "do you remember?" He looks at Jun-Myeon.
"Put your sword down." Jun-Myeon instructed, he then bows to the both of them. "My apologies, it has been hectic..." I put my sword back in.
"It's okay." Chanyeol flash us a small smile. "But there's a small problem."
"You both need to come with us, our leader ask us to come get you both." Sehun says, helping us to pack our sleeping bags.
"Why?" Jun-Myeon watch as Chanyeol walks away into the dark woods, "you're in our territory." Sehun briefly explains.
"C'mon." Sehun gestures for me the route that Chanyeol just took.
The leader of The Phoenix... Hmm.
Through the bushes, we found tents set up all around the bonfire.
"What do we have?"
I was right.
Kim Min-Seok is the leader. We never worked well together.
"Annyeonghaseyo." I murmured.
Min-Seok stood up and bow to the both of us. "What brings The Empire here?"
"Just passing by." Jun-Myeon answers, "you were about to camp at our territory." Min-Seok raised his right brow at us.
"We didn't know, we would leave immediately." Jun-Myeon lowers his head, Min-Seok smacks his lips together and stares at me.
Is he part of the fallen Phoenix? I mean if he is, he wouldn't be here...
"Where's the bosses? Where has The Empire went?" Min-Seok ask, still looking at me for an answer. "Let's ask the leader." Kim Jong-In steps out of his tent and looks at Jun-Myeon.
"I am the leader." I spoke up.
Everyone stares at me with surprise, Min-Seok simply smiled. "Our parents are missing. The moment the building collapsed, I only found Jun-Myeon." I briefly explained.
There was a brief moment of silence till I ask, "what do The Phoenix want?"
"I knew you will ask that question." Min-Seok scoffs, "you got to act fast, Chae-Won ssi... They got your parents."
"What do they want with our parents?" Jun-Myeon ask, "oh! They do not want anything from your parents. They have stolen all the weapons from your building and of course, ours..." Jong-In murmurs the last part.
Kim Jong-In is the co-captain. And also, he has every girl in The Empire swooned for him.
It's annoying.
"They want you." Min-Seok stated, still staring at me.
"Hey, stop staring at her like that." Jun-Myeon frowns at Min-Seok, "why do they want me?" I questioned.
"Which association doesn't want a highly skilled soldier?" Min-Seok answers with a question, "look, I am unclear of what they want. But one their objectives is you and clearly to rule the world." Min-Seok added.
"It's been 3 months, where have you been?" Jong-In ask.
"Everywhere." Jun-Myeon mutters. The last 3 months has been the toughest.
This is going to be the toughest fight...
"Thanks. We're going to leave now." I say, nudging Jun-Myeon. Min-Seok nods his head, "good luck."
The rest waved at us as we left.
