"You want me to do WHAT!” Kanda cried when Allen told him the plan.
“Allow me to talk to Nea.” The white haired boy stood his ground against the towering fury of the wizard. Kanda stormed around the room. His temper like a cloud followed him. It was almost tangent. The man couldn’t talk every time he tried he stopped himself with a growl. Keeping Allen in the center of his pacing the small boy looked defenseless against the others anger. Yet Allen showed little concern about his safety.
The magician came to stand before the boy. “It’s not a social call, bean sprout!” He yelled. “Do you even understand what you are asking of me!”
“I am asking for a chance to survive this.” Allen spoke calmly. The dark samurai yanked his head back as if he had been slapped in the face by the words the other spoke. “I want to still be me when this is over.” Allen’s voice was so soft not everyone in the room heard just what he said. It was enough for the magician to go sit down.
Kanda sat in a chair. Leaning his elbow onto the table he pressed his palm against his face. Slowly he wiped his hand over his face. Drawing in a deep breath he let it out slowly.
“Allen, in order to allow you to talk with Nea, I will have to wake him. Once awoken I cannot put him back away.” Kanda’s words came out muffled from behind his hand. He turned to look at the boy.
“If you can’t convince him, then you will be lost. There is nothing I know to save you.” Allen walked up to the man. Taking his hand in both of his he locked eyes with him.
“I need to try. If I don’t try everything I can, than I will have failed myself.” He said. “Give me this chance.” Without a word the magician yanked the boy onto his lap, his mouth found the lips of the white haired teen. Allen yelped but relaxed into the wizards arms.
Across the room Krory’s eyes went to the red haired pirate. Lavi stood with his arm crossed over his chest. His face was turned into the last of the sunlight coming through the window. Daisya stood at his side. The shorter man neither spoke nor touched the other, but it was apparent that he was there offering comfort.
As the kiss went on, the pirate couldn’t take it any more, he turned on his booted heels to walk quietly outside. Krory followed.
“Lavi?” he called to the one eyed boy. There was a hitch to the other’s voice when he answered with a tiny, yeah.  Krory didn’t know what else to say. He had liked the pirate from the first time he saw him. This boy was brave and fearless. He cared for those around him. He lead with his heart and loved others deeply. The taller man knew that the betrayal of the magician cut deep into the pirate.
Krory’s arms wrapped around him from behind. He buried his head into the others shoulder, pulling him back against him. Lavi stiffened at the touch. Krory didn’t flinch or move away. Slowly the man in his arms relaxed. He turned into the embrace curling himself into the others chest. The tears came. No one had ever seen the pirate cry before. It was something he only did in private. This extraordinary man had found him at his weakest.
Inside Allen managed to pull back away from the wizard. He regained his footing to study the man in wonder. For a long time he couldn’t form words to talk to the handsome man looking back at him. His lips swollen from the kiss. Allen touched his own. He had never been kissed by someone he actually wanted to kiss before. It had been a new experience.
The silver eyed boy shook himself. Words escaped his lips before he thought about them. “This is why I need to talk to Nea. That was the first time I kissed someone, that I wanted to kiss.” The wonder in his eyes kept the magician silent. “There are so many other things I wish to experience as me. Nea has lived a life, I haven’t.” he broke the eye contact with the samurai. It was only then that he realized just what he had done.
“Oh no, Lavi!” He cried. He rushed toward the door, only to be stopped by a sword in his path. Kanda had moved so swiftly that the chair hadn’t even hit the floor yet.
“Krory is with him.” The wizard said in a voice made husky from the kiss. Allen looked back at him. His mouth hanging open in an o.
“I will do as you ask. But know this…” He paused to lock his gaze to the smaller boy. “If Nea doesn’t release you. I will do everything in my power to destroy him.” Allen looked pale against the might of the dark wizard. “Never have I felt this way about anyone.” With that the wizard turned and fled the building. “One hour.” His voice reached back to them as the door slammed behind him.
Lavi came back in with Krory right behind him. “What was that about?” the taller man asked.
“Kanda agreed to Allen’s plan.” Daisya said. “After he pretty much told him he loved him.” The jester looked shocked at his own words. Lavi looked over to Allen. The smaller boy took a step toward him.
“Don’t.” Krory warned him. Allen paused. Lavi gave him a tiny smile.
“I saw it coming. Kanda wears his heart in his eyes. If you know what to look for, you know what he feels.” Lavi walked up to the boy. He placed a hand on his shoulder, his grip a bit tight. “I know it’s not your fault. This wasn’t what you wanted when you came aboard the ship. Hell you never wanted to be on the ship. It hurts to look at you right now. But I will do everything I can to make sure Nea doesn’t take over your soul Allen Walker.” His voice had grown more and more strained as he tried to speak to the small boy. When he was done he rushed upstairs to be alone. This time Krory didn’t follow.
No one else knew what to say. Allen helped clear the table. He washed the dishes all under the eyes of the old woman and her son. The others just tried to stay out of his way. Exactly one hour later Kanda returned.
He was wearing long dark robes. There was silver designs threaded through the dark fabric. His hands, face and bare feet were covered in black paint with the same silver designs. Mugen was no longer on his side, instead it was strapped to his back.
Without a word he walked into the living room. A wave of his hand sent all the chairs scurrying to the side. Kneeling down he drew a large circle. Chanting as he drew ruins and designs along the outer edge he moved around the room. Once complete he turned to the people watching him.
Lavi had come back down when he had heard the man return. Their eyes met. For a moment that lasted longer to both they stared at each other. Neither spoke but to those who watched it was like they had a private conversation in front of them all. Lavi walked to the edge of the circle. He took a place near an emerald green line. One lone silver chair sat in the center.
“Everyone come take a place on the circle.” Kanda said. “Allen sit in the center.” They all rushed to obey. Kanda stood in the middle before the boy. He turned to talk to those around them.
“I need you here only if you are here for Allen.” His eyes fell to Krory who glared back. “Nea may fight him, me or any one else. If you cannot stand by Allen now, leave. You will only give Nea more power.” Krory lifted his chin to jut out at the wizard.
“I will fight for him. He hasn’t done anything to deserve this fate.” Kanda nodded, his cobalt eyes shifted to the pirate at the others side.
“I will do everything in my power to ensure Allen gets a chance at love and life.” Lavi stated firmly.
“Take hands, form a circle with your arms. Do not break it. Be prepared for anything.” Kanda turned to Allen. He had him sit in the chair. Sprinkling some silver glitter over his head he began to chant. He held a bowl in his hands. Every now and then he tossed water into Allen’s face. The boy didn’t blink.
Allen sat in the chair back pressed straight against the chair’s back. His small pale hands resting on his knees. He looked forward, silver orbs glued to the wall. It was Lavi who turned his head to see what the boy was looking at. There was a man in a clown costume. A small boy stood beside him, the wind blowing his dark hair around his head. The clown laughing joyously at the anger in the child’s face. Allen didn’t blink. He locked his entire existence to that photo.
“You know he was the best of us all.” A voice spoke in the boys head. “He never had a mean word to say about anyone.” A dark gloved hand touched the picture. A man stood there. He was dressed in a gray and black suit. His skin the color of cold ash. Eyes as dark as grave dirt. Slowly he turned toward the light boy.
“Manna was the best this world could create. Yet you managed to kill him. To turn him into evil itself.” He spat at the child before him. “And now you have come to see if I would save you. Not a chance.” The man rushed forward. The cruel single minded focus of the Noah etched in his  face. Allen raised a hand. A barrior stopped the man from reaching him.
“If you think I was the best of the world, Nea, then give my prodigy his right to negotiate.” The voice came from the  boy before him, but it wasn’t the boys. It was the soft happy easy voice of Manna Walker. Nea drew up short.
“Why should I listen to him?’ He spat prowling outside the invisible wall.
“Because he is me and I am him and we are together once more.” Manna’s voice spoke through the boy. “I beg you only to listen. I cursed him for what he did to me. But I have taken time to see, it came from love. I was the first soul this boy every knew how to love. Of course he would have done anything to have that back. Isn’t that what we all want. To feel loved, to be loved to be in love. Give the boy a chance.” Nea growled.
“Fine.”
“You’re the Noah Nea?” The voice had changed coming out of the child. Though it was softer, there was nothing timid about it. This boy was strong. Nea could feel it in him. Manna had chosen well the vessel for him to return in.
“I am.” He sated abruptly.
“I am Allen Walker.” The boy said. Nea threw his head back to bark out a cold hate filled laugh.
“You use his name after what you did to him!” He spat.
“Manna was my father. The only one who ever cared for me.” The boy said.
“What could you possible offer me that would allow me to give you back you body, your soul?” Nea didn’t wish to continue talking about his lost brother.
“A life.” Allen said. “I wish that you allow me to destroy the Earl. To bring down the Noah. To right the wrong they did to us both.”
“That is all my intention.” Nea  cooed.
“Yes but then I wish for you to return back to sleep.”
“Now here is where we differ.” The dark hand drew a chair forward to sit facing the boy. “Just what reason would I have to give up your body? It is perfect for me?” He asked.
“I, um..” the boy faltered.
“I offer you my power.” Another voice came from somewhere in the surrounding nothingness around the pair. Kanda stepped from the neither.
“You allow this boy to have his body back once the Noah are destroyed, and I will find a suitable body for you. You can have all my power, aside from Mugen. All I ask is for the boy.”
“You want the boy?” Nea looked surprised by this.
“Yes.” Nea watched him.
“Only one born to magic can weld it.” He said narrowing his eyes at the other. “How do you propose to give me all that you say you can?” Kanda laid a hand on Nea’s forehead. His eyes went back into his head, so did the Noah’s. They stood like that for some time. When Kanda’s hand fell he dropped to a knee before the Noah.
Nea shook himself. “I see.” The man said a smile growing on his dark face.
“We are in agreement then?” Kanda asked standing back up.
“We are. I will give my knowledge to the boy. He will be able to defeat the Noah with it. You have twenty years magician. If I do not receive my payment, I will destroy him from the inside out.”
The world went black. There were screams. One maniacal laugh reverberated around the darkness. Then hands were shaking the world. A voice crying out from no where, yet everywhere at once.
“Allen wake up!” Kanda screamed shaking the boy he held in his arms. When he had come from the dream world Allen had been unconscious beside the chair. Lavi was holding his head in his lap. Kanda had dragged himself to the boy. He had expelled more energy than he had wanted to get Nea to agree.
“Allen come on!” Lavi cried his hand wiping a tear from the boys face. Allen’s eyes flickered open. He blinked up into the blue. Reaching a hand out he touched the magician’s face.
“What have you done, Kanda?” he whispered. His throat raw from thirst.
“I saved your life the only way I knew how.” Lavi held a glass to the pale lips. After taking a few sips Allen sat up.
“You offered him your power. With that he can destroy the world!” Allen cried. Kanda smiled.
“Let me worry about that. We have to destroy the Noah. Then I have twenty years.”
“Until he kills me!” Allen cried. Kanda touched his face.
“I won’t allow that love.” He whispered.
The destruction of the Noah was easy. Allen was able to pretend to be Nea and get aboard the ark. Once there he found the hidden players room. Playing the melody Manna and he had created he programmed the ark to self destruct. Once the ship was no longer available to the Noah to regenerate, then they could be killed.
It took two years to hunt them all down. In the end it was Lavi who killed the last, before the Earl. Kanda had tossed him Mugen and the pirate had ran it through the heart of the girl Rode Camelot died in Allen’s arms. As she asked to with her last breath. With his family destroyed it was now just the Earl left.
Kanda, Allen and Lavi set out alone to find the man. While Krory, Daisya and the Lee’s tried to find a suitable vessel for Nea. As they predicted the Earl was found at sea. Allen faced him alone on the deck of the ship. He stood before the man while the others watched. Allen transformed into Nea once only.
The manacle laugh of the Noah as he rammed a sword taken from his left arm into the body of his brother was hard for any to see. Once the Earl was dead, Nea replaced the sword. He turned to Kanda.
“No tricks wizard. I did my part now you have twenty years.” Allen then stood there looking lost as Kanda rushed to his lover.
The order thrived without the Noah. Nineteen years eleven months and twenty eight days later they were the new empire. It had been a time of great peace for the world. The order creating order within the wicked wake of the Noah’s. Slavery had ended. Hunger was nearly unheard of. If anyone harmed a fellow human Mugen was there to hand out justice.
Allen and Kanda had been married for eighteen years. They had adopted homeless orphaned twin boys. Lenalee became a regent and married her partner a handsome villager named Bak. She was a happy mother watching her daughter and son grow into fine teens. Lavi and Krory remained at sea most of the time. They made it back to headquarters four times a year to visit. Daisya was also in and out. He was a regent as well. Though he never married he found his happiness in his work. Komui remained as chief of the order and head inventor.
Today they were all together one last time. Lenalee hugged Allen. Krory wiped a tear from his face, Lavi crushed the smaller man to him. Daisya stood aside not really sure what to do for Allen. Komui was beside himself in tears. You see they had failed to find any one with enough magical blood to become the new host to the Noah.
Kanda stood beside Allen, a smirk on his face. “Nea, I call to you now!” He cried out. Everyone turned shocked that Kanda would just call the Noah two days early. They were suppose to be celebrating Allen not letting him die sooner than expected.
Allen changed once more to the dark Noah. “Ah my magician. Have you finally come to seal your deal?”  he asked. “I have been planning my destruction of this boy. It will be so much fun to watch you suffer.”
Kanda smiled at him “I have found you a suitable vessel. I called you forth so that I could transfer you.” The others stood around the lakeside shocked at what Kanda was saying.
“You will give me all your magical power as well?” Nea wondered. Kanda nodded.
“As per our deal, I shall.” He said.
“Very well. I am ready.” A cloud formed around Allen’s head. It was dark and stormy. The pale boy shook under it.
“Kanda?” he whispered. Kanda was muttering the spell. Lightening flashed inside the storm cloud. It floated away from Allen. The wind seemingly taking it out over the lake. There a large clay creature stood. Kanda had spent two days creating it. It sat just inside the water line. The cloud hovered over it briefly, then sank around its head. As the cloud disappeared the creature began to move. It thrashed it’s long neck around. Angry eyes turned to the group on land. Before it could do anything a wave came to pull it under the water.
It resurfaced a few times as it was pulled further from the shore. In the end it sunk into the center of the lake. Kanda collapsed to the ground. Allen reached him first. They were all calling his name trying to wake the wizard.
“I am no longer a wizard. I gave all my power to the creature.” He whispered.
“What did you do?” Allen asked. Kanda laughed.
“My power was only that I could heal myself. I would have lived for an eternity if I kept it.” He said. “My only magical ability came fro Mugen. And the spells Tiedoll and Manna taught me. Now Nea will live forever in the Lockness lake. As a creature of the deep.” They all laughed at how the wizard tricked the Noah.
