a week has gone by since Grey had moved here, and already, he was one of the most popular guys in the school. Not the type of popular where he was labled a 'jock' or a 'prep' and he didn't hang out with the popular crowd. Grey was now known as the 'bad boy' of the school. People just seeme to be drawn to his mysterious aura, and wreckless ways.

Like always, i walked through the halls, my head down, and rushing through the crowds of people. I hated being in crowds. I always start to feel overwhelmed, like i was being suffocated. I was watching my feet walk along the blue tiled flooring of the hallway. 'left right' I repeated in my head, over and over again.

'left, right, left, rig-'

my thoughts were cut off when I bumped into someone, well more like they bumped into me. I looked up to meet the harsh gaze of Hillary Smith, the queen bitch of school.

"AH!" she let out a loud scream, loud enough for the whole hallway to stop go scilent and stare... at me.

"you stupid slut!" Hillary screached "you made me spill my coffee!"

I looked to where she was pointing on the floor, to see a small splash of a latte that had spilled, but none of the liquid got on any of her clothes. Before i coudl look up again, i felt the rest of the warm liquid was being poured over my head. It was like it was in slow motion, and the warm latte was slowly trickling down my body, and seeping through my now stained clothes. My head snapped up to see her smirking face, I turned my head to have a look around me. Some students were laughing, some were gasping, and some were just staring blankly.

I wasn't going to give Hillary the satisfaction of seeing me upset, or me trying to give a comeback. So i did what i do best, walk away without saying a word. I was about to walk out the doors of the school when someone yelling stopped me from doing so

"what the FUCK do you think your doing!"

I turned back around to see Grey standing infront of Hillary, fuming. She batted her eyelashes and flipped her hair

"I don't know what your talking about Grey" she said innocently

Grey sucked in a breath and let it go "you discust me" he mumbled before he turned and made his way towards me.

"are you okay" he asked me with a look of concern in his eyes

i nodded

"come one" he motioned towards the parking lot " i'll take you home"

Grey walked me out to his car and opened the door for me. I mumbled a 'thanks' and hoped in. He put the key in the ignition and reversed out of the parking lot. Once we were on the road I kept facing forward not daring to look over at Grey, but i could feel him looking over at me.

"Why?" i said without looking over at him

"what?" he asked confused

this time, I looked over at him "why did you help me back there?" I questioned. No one would ever stand up for me, apart from Kayla, who just so happened to not be at school today.

Grey cleared his throat

"well" he started "no one deserves to be treated like that, especially if you didn't do anything, us neighbors gotta stay together right?" he looked over at me with a small smile

The car came to a stop, and i looked up to see that we were in my drive way

"thank you" i gave Grey a small smile

He nodded "any time" I started to get out te car when he grabbed onto my hand

"Monroe" I looked over at Grey, he was staring intently at me, not breaking eye contact "I'm serious"

I nodded gently removng my hand from his grip, I lightly closed the car door, while turning and wlking up towards my house. I didn't hear the car start up again till I got inside. I looked out my front front window to see Grey driving off down the road. This has had to have been the strangest day of my life.
