It has been 4 days after his departure from the castle. Being only 10 years old and so far away from home seem to scare any child his age. The Rudy wasn't scared, he was excited and determined. Rudy, thinking he was on the right path, noticed a ship in the distance
"What if I can use that to go to America?" He asked himself. Really laughed and ran towards the ship.
the ship was docked and some crewmen were checking things off and making sure for correct stock. Rudy smiled and ran up to them.
"Excuse me sirs?" Rudy asked them, "where is this ship headed?"
A taller, darker crewman looked at the child and blinked.
"We're headed to Canada, to drop off and pick up trade" he said.
"Where is Canada?" Rudy asked
"It's north of America" A smaller, fatter crewman said.
"America?!" Rudy exclaimed "can I come along?"
"Look kid, we can't just be a taxi, okay?"
"But..." Rudy pouted.
"Kid, you can't allow you to unless you're willing to work. Nothing in life is free you hear?"
"Yes sir"
"Now, run along okay?"
"I'll work" Rudy said, tightening up his grip on his satchel"
"What?, Kid, this is hard work and labor"
"I-I can do work and labor... I am a boy afterall"
The crewmen looked at each other anf huffed. They hastily agreed to let Rudy work and they agreed to drop him off in Canada.
reduce around a sack of corn and Rudy tried his best to throw it to the other crewmen. But since he wasn't as strong as he thought he was, he dropped it a few times blaming it on his hands being wet or he stopped wrong. The taller crewman and roll his eyes and just kept going.
"The names James by the way" the taller crewman said.
"I'm Scott" the smaller one said.
"I'm Rudy" Rudy said smiling.
"Cool, ya got the same name as the prince!" Scott said.
"I am the prince" Rudy said
"Wait what?!" James said, as he was picking up a sack.
"No you're not" Scott scoffed.
"If you were the prince and you'd be in the castle eating bonbons"
"But I am the prince"
"Sure you are kid, and I'm the queen of England"
after the work isn't finished, Rudy felt comfortable with this new friends. James told stories and he liked the paint. Scott want to be an architect and build houses and buildings. Rudy smiled, yet not knowing what he wants to do. He'd never thought of his future. James and Scott were both 26 years old and working for a guy they called The Man. Rudy shared some good hearted stories of when him and his mother would walk in the greenhouse and he was able to smell the tulips and lavender.
"Anything on your father, buddy?" Scott asked.
"Uh-m... He's a big man and he likes to fight on horses." Rudy said. He never knew much of what his father did.
"Jousting?" James asked
"Y-yeah"
"You okay Rudy? you seem uneasy"
"No, my father was just not one to like me"
"Why not?"
"I'm too feminine"
"Well it really if your old man won't accept you I will." Scott said, moving to him and hugging him.
Rudy felt a warm feeling in his heart. He began to tear up and he started to cry.
"Woah, Scott what did you do to him?"
James asked, half getting up.
"Huh?" Scott asked "I did nothing!"
"No, you did nothing wrong, I was just overcome with emotions. I'm sorry, boys shouldn't cry, are you going to slap me now?"
Rudy asked
"What?! Of course not!" Scott said.
"Why would we hurt you Rudy?"
"Because my dad... He used to-"
James cut him off "well he won't anymore buddy. You don't have to ever go back to him, we'll drop you off in Canada and you'll be free!"
Scott nodded in agreement. Rudy flushed red and held back his tears. James noticed and held him.
"Let it out kid, this is a safe place"
Rudy cleared his throat and hugged James and he did what he was allowed to do. He let it out and James and Scott let him rubbing his head loving him like their own little brother. Rudy smiled and to James shoulder thanking him.

Beauty sat in the lower parts of the ship, eating oatmeal Scott gave him. He loved his new friends and we're striving to miss them already and didn't know if he should get off of Canada. Would you look as a cup of water in front of him and saw himself in the glass. You smell it and at the moment he forgot all bad that had happened to him he took a bite and laughed. James walked in and playfully through his sock at Rudy.
"Hey Rudy, you want to go fishing with Scott and I? He asked.
Really smiled and nodded. he got up and followed James Arthur the upper deck. There they saw Scott already sitting on the edge of the ship smiling and waving to James and Rudy. Rudy laughed and ran up to Scott and hugged him almost knocking him overboard.
"Hey! Woah! Carefully buddy!" Scott said jokingly "if I fall I'll be eaten by sharks!"
Rudy apologize whilst laughing. James smiled and said Rudy up on the edge of the ship. Scott handed him a pool and told him to hook the bait. Really did as he was told and before you knew it, all three of them were fishing, the water column in the sky cloudy, perfect. To Rudy everything was how it should be and here, he was very happy. ♥️
