18 years after "The King and Queen of Illea"

Today is my nineteenth birthday and my wedding day. I am getting married to the love of my life, the only man for me. He also happens to be the prince of Belgium. Lars and I know that we would get married no matter what, but it does make it easier that we are in love. 6 years ago when he showed up at the palace with his family I wasn't sure it would work out, the language barrier was never an issue though. My parents both knew that I would one day become part of the Belgian royal line, so early in my studies they suggested that I learn French, Dutch, and German so that I could always communicate with the Belgians. I do love the French language.

My wedding dress is simple, it is off white and fitted through the waist. It puffs out from there and it has a 4 foot train. The bodice is embroidered with small pearls. I am wearing two strands of pearls, one belonged to my Grandmother, Queen Amberly. They are my something old, my dress is something new. Something borrowed is would be my bracelet, I borrowed it from my mother, it also counts as something blue. It is the bracelet that my father gave her during his selection. The boys are going to have their selection next month. Instead of the regular 35 girls their will be 70. With the number of girls increased they had to build separate living quarters for them. I will be gone by then, living in Belgium with my husband and his parents.

My maids complete the final touches then they usher me out to the hall and down to the great hall where the ceremony will take place. Lars thought it would be best for us to be married here in Illea so that all of my family, could attend and I could say goodbye to them. I love Lars but I am so scared to leave my family, I have never been on my own. I will not be on my own though of course, I will have Lars, and eventually our children.

The doors open, revealing all of our guests and my father takes my arm. He will walk me down to Lars, then My mother will join him to give me away taking my tiara. The king and queen of Belgium will then replace it with a new one, signifying that I am no longer Illean royalty but Belgian.

The next day

The ceremony was perfect. Lars was so handsome, I took his hands and we said our vows. He kissed me, in the kiss was all the love and promises we made were affirmed. I knew from that kiss that we would be together forever, we will always have each other, and that is all that matters.

The reception was beautiful, the hall was covered in white tool and pearls, the blue flowers are all over. Lars and I danced all night, when they served dinner we sat down at the table, our chairs pushed right up against each other. We did not let go of each other all night. We were always right there, the party ended at around 11:30pm Lars and I stayed the night in my old room.

We are now on the plane on he way home. Home. That is going to take some getting used to.

"I love you Tally." Lars says suddenly looking up from his book.

"Oh Lars, I love you too."

The plane ride ends and we are home.
