On the other side of the city, the blonde woman walks quickly from the lift once it is open. She looks once again at her rose gold watch and realizes that she still has two minutes before the clock strikes eight in the morning. She woke up late this morning because she had to double-check last night all the documents and PowerPoint presentations their team had prepared for this day. For Roseanne Park, this day will be marked as one of the biggest days for her career as architect, as she and Kang Seulgi will be presenting in front of Mr. Dean Harris. The owner and chairman of one of the largest hotel chains in the world, Frontiera Hotels, wanted to expand in South Korea.
"Good morning Ms. Park!" Her junior colleagues greet her when she passes by their assigned cubicles.
Roseanne is one of the senior architects at Seoul Metro Design Associates. It is an architectural firm founded by the owner and principal architect, Lee Soo Man. The firm has established an outstanding reputation in South Korea for its integrity and commitment to providing exceptional design solutions at the most economical cost. The architectural firm has conceived, designed, and built a variety of projects that include medium and high-rise commercial projects, offices, hotels, resorts, residential community developments, institutional, recreational and sports facilities.
Despite the young age of 25, her passion and excellent talent in planning and designing are her keys to outshining the others that made her a great asset in the company. She's now 28, very happy and contented with her current situation in terms of her personal life and profession.
She smiles as a response to them, especially to Kim Yerim who has always had a smile on her face. The younger girl was only 22 years old and had a bright and playful personality. The reason Roseanne liked the younger girl was because she remembered someone for her bright energy. Yerim has been working as an apprentice in the company, and although she is a fresh graduate, her dedication and desire to learn are palpable.
Roseanne entered her spacious office and sat on her swivel chair behind the table. Being the organized person that she is, she first settles the documents on her table such as blueprints and other materials that she needed for the meeting later that day. Once she's done, Roseanne opens her laptop to do her morning routine and finally start her work.
The blonde checks her emails for the day while she was drinking her hot coffee that she bought from a nearby coffee shop outside their building. One email got her attention, and it was set as a priority and urgent which piqued her curiosity about what the email was all about.
Roseanne clicks on the email and reads it in silence. The mail was from Jennie Kim. She was helping a friend find an architect who will design the architectural interiors of her house, which is located in the exclusive neighborhood of Cheongdam in Gangnam, Seoul where all the residents are rich, and Jennie is asking her if she wants to meet her friend for a meeting.
Jennie Kim was her friend way back in high school because of Jisoo and Lisa. A few months after the graduation, they lost contact and according to what she heard from Jisoo, Jennie studied in New Zealand. Without contemplating it with herself, Roseanne responded quickly to the offer and set up a meeting to discuss what her friends wanted for her house.
An hour later, Jennie replies with approval and informs Roseanne that her friend was busy the whole week and she will contact her once she knows her friend's available time. Jennie leaves her contact details in case she needs something for the upcoming meeting. Lastly, Jennie wishes to see her at the forthcoming alumni party on Saturday.
