[William]
Today was the last day I would see my wife. I turned over to face her, moving a lock of hair out of her face. She opened her eyes and smiled wearily at me.
"Hey, dear. I was thinking we could go out together today." I said sweetly. She nodded.
"That would be nice, Will." She muttered. I got out of bed and went to take a shower. I came back out with a towel wrapped around my waist, allowing her to go in to shower as well.
While she showered, I got dressed in a popular rock band shirt and jeans. As I put on my sneakers on, Victoria came out.
"I was also thinking we let the kids stay with Henry at work today." I suggested.
"Yeah, but you should tell him that you're doing this first."
"Right, yeah." I grabbed my phone and stepped out of the room to call him.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Henry! First, I need to take time off work today. Second, could you take care of the kids for me?"
"Of course! You want me to pick them up, or would you like to drop them off at the pizzeria?" He asked.
"It would be great if you could come pick them up, thanks."
"No problem! I'll see you soon, Will."
"Mhm, cya." I said, hanging up.
Shortly after, I could hear Henry's car pull into the driveway. I went downstairs to greet him.

-a whole conversation later-

"William?"
I was making my way upstairs.
"Yes, Henry?" I asked.
"Are you okay? You seem out of it today."
"Nothing. I'm just about to spend time with my wife, Henry. Everything is fine." I stated. Henry nodded.
"If you need me, do call."
"Alright."
And with that, Henry was gone.

Once Victoria finished getting ready, I took her by the hand and led her to the car.
"So, where do you want to go?" I asked. She thought for a minute.
"There's a fair in town that I'd like to go to." She replied with a smile. I sighed, as I didn't like fairs.
"Alright, I'll take you to the fair." I replied. She smiled and hugged me tight, giving me a small peck on the lips.
"William... this means a lot to me." She mumbled sweetly. "But you don't have to if you don't want to." My heart broke.
"No- we're going to the fair. Today isn't about me. I want to make you happy." I opened the passenger door to let her in, in which she gladly got in. I closed the door after her and ran to the other side to get in and start the car up. I pulled out of the driveway, and started driving.
When we arrived at the fair, she practically dragged me onto every ride. I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it at all. She ate cotton candy while I stuck to deep fried Oreos.
With being at the fair, time went by fast. Soon, it was 5:00 pm.
"Victoria, let's go. I want to take you somewhere." I stated, getting up from where I was sitting. She looked confused.
"Where?" She asked. I shook my head.
"Don't worry about it."
-One drive later-
I led her to a secluded section of the beach, since it was still popular at this time.
"Oh, willy! This is where you took me on our first date! How romantic." She purred, hugging my side. I grinned.
"Yeah. I could never forget that date." I sighed, memories flooding my mind for a split second. Until I noticed the sunset.
"Victoria, look at the sunset." I mused, gesturing toward it. She acknowledged it, staring at the sun that was sinking into the ocean. As I watched, I noticed, to my dismay, the day was ending. I could not stop the tears that escaped my eyes.
I silently sobbed, knowing after today, all this will end. Victoria took notice and hugged me tight.
"It'll be fine. You'll be fine. Just don't do anything stupid." She calmed me with that small joke put in. I smiled a little and kissed her on the cheek.
"Let's go home, William. We've had a long day." She mumbled, rubbing my back.
"R-Right..." I stammered, getting up and taking her to the car.
When we got home, she had to leave. Instead of taking the car, she got a taxi. It was getting late, so I had to go to bed. She didn't return, which is what I noticed first when I woke up next morning.
My phone rang. It was the hospital. I picked up, knowing what they were going to say, that she's dead. And she was. I thanked them for telling me and hung up.
I started crying, as much as I didn't want to. My crying changed into hard sobs and I found it hard to even move.
[3rd person POV]
Michael had come in after he heard his dear old man cry. He leaned against the doorframe with concern on his face.
"Dad? What's wrong?" William turned his head and refused to speak.
"Daaaaad. You can talk to me." He went over and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"If you don't say anything, I'm calling Henry." He smirked. William sniffed.
"M-maybe you should..." he whimpered. Michael's face fell.
"You really want me to..?" He nodded. Michael sighed and went into the living room to call Henry.
He picked up.
"What's up? Is William comin' to work today?" Henry asked.
"No, in fact, he kind of needs you right now."
"Where is he?"
"At home. He's not feeling well."
"I'll be over as fast as I can." Henry stated before hanging up. Michael went back to William's room.
"He's on his way, dad."
"Th... thanks..." William managed to say.
About 30 minutes have passed, before Henry was at the door and knocking. Elizabeth answered the door.
"Hello, uncle Henry!" She exclaimed.
"It's nice to see you, Eliza. Where is your father?"
"He's in his room. I think he's-" she lowered her voice, "- depressed." Henry smiled at her.
"I'll help him feel better, alright?" And with that, he went into William's room.
"William?" Henry said in a soft tone. William grunted to indicate that he was in the bed. Henry took his shoes off and went to lay down next to him.
"If you want, you can cuddle me." William immediately snuggled up to him and sobbed again. Henry played with his hair, trying to calm him down a little.
"I just can't handle her leaving, Henry!" He sobbed harder.
"Shh... I know." He kissed the top of William's head. Will looked up at him, and stared at Henry for a good 5 minutes. He sniffled and kissed Henry, right on the lips.
"Mm-?" Henry immediately pulled away. "William-..."
"Sorry! Sorry..." he looked away. "I've always liked you and... ugh..."
"But what about your wife? Didn't you love her?"
"Oh, cmon Henry. You knew how our relationship was. We only saw each other as friends..." Henry and William just stared at each other.
"Oh, Bailey..." Henry muttered.
"B-bailey-? Since when did you use my middle name?" William asked.
"Since now." Henry replied, and the two kissed again.
