...Buuuut there isn't a one-horse open sleigh. And I'm late for our date. The last thing you want to do is slip, you dumbass! I thought. Too late, I slipped. Luckily for me, I'm right at the restaurant! I got up.
"William's gonna kill me.." I groan as I straightened up and went inside. When I got near Bailey's table, I could hear him.
"Cain! Oh my goodness, I'm so glad you could make it!" He beamed. I was worried that he was mad when I looked at his face. But he was smiling, glad I could even show.
"Of course I would show up! I'm your boyfriend, silly." I chuckled.
"I know, but you're always so busy and I don't want to get in the way...."
"And leave you here all by myself? I could never do that to you."
"You've always been the sweetest, Cain..." he gushed. I grinned and sat down. The two of us chatted before we got our food. I noticed Bailey didn't eat much. He never did, really. The poor man hardly eats. Once we finished eating, I paid the entire bill and we left together, walking down the sidewalk together.
"I'm not scared of your horses, Cain! I'm scared of dying on them." Bailey argued.
"I highly doubt they would be able to kill you, dear. But I'll keep you off the horses if that makes you feel better."
"That does...." he shyly smiled at me. I stopped him so I could kiss him. After the kiss, Bailey jumped up and I caught his legs.
"Quick." Bailey mumbled, looking impressed.
"Yeah, yeah. Good luck trying to get down, because I'm carrying you to my place." I announced, and started walking again.
"Oh, that's fine by me!" He clung to me, smiling.
I chuckled, kissing the top of his head. I carried him all the way home, keeping him warm as well. He was very thankful for me carrying him home, and I shrugged it off as it not being a big deal. The two of us fell asleep holding each other close, whispering compliments as we fell into sleep.
