So silent, no violence

But inside my head

So loud and clear

You're screaming

You're screaming, covered up with a smile I've learned to fear

Remo lay there, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat keeping him awake. The little snake thought about the countless adventures he had with (Y/n), who he looked up to. Ever since he was found by the girl, he began to form a bond.

(Y/n) was the closest he had to a family, the one who took care of him when he could not take care of himself.

She was also the one who helped him discover the wonder that is ham sandwiches.

Ham sandwiches, how he craved them right now, but every time he moved, the spot where his broken rib flared-up in pain.

''Hey...'' He said weakly, wishing someone would come and help. ''I need food... someone get me a ham sandwich...''

There was a creaking of the floorboards, and the door swung open, to reveal Jay and Cole, who walked over to the snake who laid on (Y/n)'s bed.

The Cake Devourer carefully picked up the silver snake, who yawned sleepily at the thought of rest, the warmth of Cole's hands like a blanket.

Jay stroked Remo trying to comfort him, whose eyes opened and looked at him.

The Lightning Ninja's hands were cold.

Jaybird then muttered an apology and put his hands at his sides, but they never seemed to be still, twitching so he fidgeted with his hands.

''I'll see if Zane can make you some ham sandwiches,'' Cole spoke, making Remo look up at his face.

''Thanks, Cole.'' The little snake replied, smiling despite the circumstances.

''No problem, little ham sandwich devourer.''

The ninja sat at the table, with Remo sitting with two stacks of ham sandwiches, a wall of deliciousness The Great Ham Sandwich Devourer had to consume.

While the others talked about their plan, Remo wasted no time in starting to eat, carefully prying a ham sandwich in reach like a block from a Jenga tower.

They then looked at the snake, who had already swallowed the first sandwich, and on to the next one.

It seemed like the first stack had vanished after five minutes, and mind you, these ham sandwich skyscrapers were pretty tall, but if they fell the small snake would not be harmed, with no more than what injury he already had.

The ham sandwiches were no match for The Great Ham Sandwich Devourer, who finished the last sandwich and rested his head on the table, sleepy and full of ham sandwiches.

''So what's the plan?'' Kai asked, warily eyeing Jay as he used his fork to stab a meatball.

''The plan is that we find out where (Y/n)'s father is taking her, then once we know, we have to get the other elemental masters to help us save (Y/n). But it's not going to be easy.'' Lloyd answered.

''Since when has it been easy?'' Cole asked. ''The villains we've faced were never easy.''

''I have a suggestion.'' Jay piped up. ''How about I go to the junkyard with Nya? We could make something that could help.'' He suggested.
