Halloween imagine special
Trigger warning: blood and death
He was close. You knew this yet you couldn't hear him. He was as quiet as the night. No sound he made could be caught by your weak human hearing. But you felt his stare. His endless stare.
He had smelt your scent weeks ago, and he had been taunting you throughout them. At first, it was very simple things; a twig snapping in half behind you, or the rustling of the fallen autumn leaves. Small things that you could easily shrug off.
But the small hints soon became more obnoxious. An ice cold breath down your neck, whisperers in the night, clothes in your room being replaced. But the most terrifying hint was the message on the wall. A message in blood. Your roommates blood.
Run as fast as you can, my darling. I am coming for you.
And you did. Your lungs where burning from the lack of oxygen, your legs were cramping up from the overuse of your muscles and you felt weary, tired yet very anxious. He was closing in on you. He loved the hunt more than the kill. He wanted to see how long you kept on running before you would realise it was hopeless. He loved the sound a heart made when it knew its time was running out. At first a peak in the heartbeat, then the calmness, then a small peak once more before eternal silence. And you were about to reach this point very soon.
You entered a forest at the end of the small village. You hoped the trees would slow down your hunter, but the hunter only smirked in amusement, following you closely, using the trees to cover his shadow that the full moon brought down onto the world.
You kept running, until you could no longer hear your hunter. You decided to take a break near a large willow. You tried to get your breath back and let the burning sensation in your aching muscles calm down. Sweat was dripping from your forehead, both sweat of fear and exhaustion. Your ears tried to find any sound of your hunter nearby, a small breath, the snapping of a twig. But there was nothing. You actually dared to calm down, and a few minutes later, your heartbeat was back to normal.
You looked around you, trying to find your way out, but that was a big mistake. Your hunter had never lost you. He had merely taunted you with the idea of safety.
"Not so fast, my darling. You are mine now." He said as he gently moved your hair away from your neck. Your heartbeat increased once more, but this time it knew it would soon stop beating. The handsome man was covered in blood, your roommates blood. The handsome man slowly let his nose run up and down your neck, a small growl leaving his throat. You shuddered with fear, but was paralyzed by it as well.
"And now, for the grand finale." He whispered softly in your ear. You wondered how he would do it. Did he have a knife somewhere? Was he going to strangle you?
But the reality was much worse. His mouth opened and he bit down, ripping your neck open. A scream escaped your lips, but it was soon silenced by him ripping your wind pipe open. A small gurgle sound was all that could be heard coming from your lips as blood spilled over your lips. The handsome man groaned in pleasure as your blood filled him up, and warmed him throughout.
He took his sweet time, taking slow, agonising swallows. Your vision slowly became blurry as you stopped fighting him. His iron grip was never a match for you to begin with. One last gurgle sound could be heard from your lips as you closed your eyes, and your heart beat it's last beat.
