CHAPTER TWO: dinner with the polibio
"You have to be cheating" I questioned as Cadenza won Monopoly for the second time, we had been playing for multiple hours now and the only reason why I was so motivated was because I wanted to win and there was no way in hell, was i going to lose to some stupid 10-year-old girl but i proved myself wrong twice."You're just bad" I smiled sweetly at her before grabbing the board and throwing it at the wall, catching her by surprise as she jumped up and screamed.
"Do you remember the score? no? I must have won then" Cadenza stood still, scaring me slightly before her eyes weld up in tears, making me quickly wrap my arms around her to stop her from calling our mum "I was kidding! You won! You won!"
She shoved me off, smirking at me before walking off and blowing me a kiss, I couldn't believe how evil she was. She definitely got that off dad. While I got all my kindness and somewhat spiciness from my mother. Which is why we got along so well. While the twins and my mum just never seemed to have a conversation that wasn't toxic because for a pair of 10 year old, they definitely were brave with half the things that came out of their mouths.
"Honey, go upstairs and get ready for dinner" My mum spoke as she came back from wherever she went off to, hanging her sun hat on the hanger, telling me that she probably sat at the beach for a bit with her friends.
"Why can't I just stay in this?" After I had gotten home from basically getting a concussion from the two boys, i had changed into my pajamas but obviously that wasn't good enough for my mum.
"Because were having guests over" My mum spoke like that sentence wasn't the weirdest thing ever, sure, she had friends who came over every now and then but never, not ever, did she invite people over for dinner. Something about Italians could only eat dinner with Italians since I once brought my friend from back home and every plate of food my mum brought to her, she thought was disgusting ever since, Italians were only allowed to sit at the dinner table.
"But we literally haven't had someone for dinner since Maka-" My mum raised her hand stopping me from speaking, giving her a cold stare.
"Her name stays unspoken" I rolled my eyes, before deciding to take my leave from this conversation.
Making my way up to my room to change into something more sensible.
I stood in front of my mirror, applying the last bit of mascara before slipping on a pair of shoes before grabbing my phone, sending a few texts to people and friends from home.CaRa 🤪🥰
