Part 9

I was watching sabine paint. She was REALLY good. I'm just sayin. I get up and hug her from behind. She smiles and snuggles back into my chest. I kiss her neck.

Me: Is it just me or do we need some time to relax.

Sabine: That sounds amazing but we're constantly needed here.

Me: I'm sure Sato can give us a few days off. Whether it's willingly or if he's on the wrong end of my blaster." She giggles.

Sabine: You know there are other ways to handle people right.

Me: I do know that but that ways no fun." She laughs.

Sabine: Get dressed. I'll ask Hera to talk to Sato. Where would we go anyways?

Me: I'm thinking... Shili.

Sabine: Why shili?

Me: It's peaceful. Tongruta's aren't usually violent." She nods.

Me: And it's gonna be me and you only." She smiles and nods. I kiss her. It wasn't our usual passionate kiss but one full of love. We break apart and I hug her. She smiles into my chest. We stay like this for a little while.

Sabine: Alright. I'll go ask hera." I nod. She leaves and I get into my armor. I meet up with Jace and we walk around the base. We talk. Jace then asks me and question i've never been asked before.

Jace: How do you do it?

Me: Do what?

Jace: How do you do so much for us while also being a leader." Honestly I didn't even know how I manage it.

Me: Honestly. I don't know. I do so much for you guys because your my little brothers. It's kinda in the job description as an older brother. And I have you to help me. Being a leader. Well. That's the part I don't know. It's weird. Being a ruthless killing machine but leading people into a fight. Making the tough choices. But if I had to guess. I'd say i'm not truly the leader.

Jace: What do you mean.

Me: Remember the motto. A wolf is only as strong as the pack, and the pack is only as strong as the wolf. I'd be dead if it weren't for you guys. You all play an important roll. Now why I'm called the leader doesn't give me my codename. It's my skill and me being protective of you all that earned me the name Alpha.

Jace: That makes. A lot of sense actually." We talk for a little bit longer. That's when Sabine calls me.

Sabine: Sato gave us a whole week off." I nearly died. I was NOT expecting that at all.

Me: We just got a week off." Jace smiles. We run back to the ghost. The others plan where we would all go. Me and Sabine sneak out of the ghost. We get into an Imperial shuttle we stole and we take off. Hera comms us but we jam her. We jump to hyperspace. They would't be able to find us.

TimeSkip

We exit hyperspace and we land the shuttle. We walk out. We see the peaceful world of Shili. We walk to a Cantina. We rent a room. We get there and we get settled in. I then get an idea.

Me: Lets go." She gets confused but nods. I talk to a few people. It was nice being fluent in their language. They tell me of a super nice restaurant. I take sabine there and to say it was expensive just to get in would be an understatement.

A waitress seats us and we order our food. We get it and we begin eating. Till sabine starts a conversation.

Sabine: So. What are your plans. I mean. A Mandalorian being exiled from Mandalore. What will you do." Could I really tell her. I mean. It does involve wiping out clan Wren. And all the others excluding my clan.

Me: Fuck it. Mandalore is gonna pay for what they did to my brothers.

Sabine: What do you mean." I sigh.

Me: Sabine. I love you. You know that. But your clan wanted me gone in fear of me doing the same to them that I did to Clan Vinn.

Sabine: You want to kill them. You want to kill every Mandalorian clan that chose to exile you." I nod.

Sabine: Why?

Me: They exiled my brothers. They made life so much harder for them. All because I did what a Mandalorian man is supposed to. Get justice and revenge for his father. Do you know. What your mother said that day. As she looked upon my fathers decapitated head.

Sabine: What?

Me: He got what he deserved for raising me and my brothers. She agreed. With his death.

Sabine: I'm. I'm sorry." I sigh.

Me: What about you.

Sabine: I don't know. I'm not really sure." I nod. We finish eating and we drop the subject. I take her around the city. She was clearly enjoying herself. I hold her hand and she smiles and snuggles into my side. After a few hours we head back to our room and we get undressed. We lay down and she snuggles into me. We talk for a little while.

Sabine: Promise me something.

Me:  What is is?

Sabine: That you'll always stay with me." I smile and kiss her head.

Me: Always. I promise." She smiles and we both fall asleep.

TimeSkip

Our week was over and we were on our way back to the shuttle. We get in and we jump to hyperspace. Sabine sits on my lap. We just sit there. Enjoying each others company.

Me: I love you." I say into her neck while kissing her neck. She smiles. She leans into me and whispers.

Sabine: I love you too." We sit there and enjoy each others company. We exit hyperspace and we get back to Chopper base. Hera laid into us but she stopped when she saw we clearly needed to be alone. We all get back to the ghost. We all talk about our vacations and we head to sleep. Tomorrow was back to the grind.
