Chapter 3

Bankotsu's POV

I should of killed the brat when I had the chance, as soon as the introductions were finished, we all went back to what we were doing.

but this little brat had other plans.

Sehara's POV

As they were all walking away, I spotted Bankotsu heading towards a river, (by the way, they never bothered to tie her back up again), so I decided to have some fun.

I followed him, he knelled down by the flowing water, and put his hand in and drank, he did this a few times, I stealthily ran behind him, before jumping on his back, making him and I, land in the river, making us soaking wet.

this river was deeper then I thought, not to mention, but the current was also strong, to strong for me, and guess what, I can't swim.

Bankotsu managed to shake me off him, before he swam out, I however was still trying to stay afloat.

"hurry up, we haven't got all day here" he snapped, my head kept bobbing in and out of the water, I made sure my mouth stayed above water level.

Bankotsu's POV

I watched as she stayed in the water, but something wasn't right, instead of playing around, she looked as though she was......drowning?.

'oh shit' I thought as it hit me, she can't swim,but it was to late, she was already under the water, and was being pulled away by the current.

I quickly took my shoes off, and dived in after her.

Sehara's POV

I tried to keep my strength up, but I was to tired, I felt my body shut down, I quickly went under, I couldn't breath, darkness was quickly filling in, but the current felt ..... nice.

My lungs were burning, a few air bubbles escaped my mouth, I watched them as they floated to the top, before darkness, I saw a figure, swimming towards me.

Bankotsu's POV

I found her, I watched as she sank deeper and deeper into the water, my own lungs were starting to burn, but for some reason, my body wouldn't stop moving.

her eyes slowly shut, but I was lucky, I was just able to grab her tiny wrist and pull her into my chest, I wrapped my hand around her thin waist, to keep her from sinking deeper.

I then swam to the top.

Sehara's POV

Darkness, it felt nice, is this how my life's going to end, drowning, it didn't sound to bad, I'm going to die in the gently moving river.

a figure flashed before my eyes, it was a man, he had long Silver hair like mine, but he had golden eyes, not red, so it wasn't my father, he was wearing an outfit of red, he also had a sword by his side.

Last but not least, he had a pair of adorable dog ears, so he's a dog demon, he reached out for me and I reached out for him, I was just about to grasp his hand, when I felt my self being sucked into something.

blood surrounded me, the sound of dying and screaming people filled my ears, the dying figure of my mum flashed in my mind, "it's all your fault" she whispered to me.

My mother vanished and it all went dark.

My eyes rushed open, sweat was rolling down my face, as were tears, I looked at my surroundings, i was in a forest, it was around 10pm, I was lying besides a small fire, I could hear it crackling in my ears.

I looked around the fire, there were the sleeping figures of everyone, I soundlessly stood up and walked over to Bankotsu, who was sleeping at the foot of a tree.

I crouched down beside him and started to poke his cheek, I kept doing it repeatedly, until his eyes finally snapped open, "are you awake" I whispered to him.

"am now" he grumbled, clearly annoyed that I had woken him up, he looked at me with tired eyes, "what do you want" he asked groggily, "c...can I s..sleep with you" I asked while twiddling my thumbs.

he looked at me as though I was crazy, "no, now go to sleep" he snapped/whispered, he moved slightly so that his back was now facing me.

tears threatened to leave my eyes, I started to cry slightly, I mean, my last friend was killed, my only photo of my parents was destroyed, and now I was alone with the people who killed my friend.

I started sobbing besides him, come on people sympathy would be nice.

Bankotsu's POV

I turned my body so that my back was facing the girl, all of a sudden she started to cry softly, for some reason my heart broke, then to make matters worse, she started sobbing.

I turned back around to face her, my eyes met her light red, tear filled ones, it looked as though she was about to wipe way tears, she was currently sitting (please don't take this the wrong way), with her bum on the ground, she wasn't sitting on her legs, but they were beside her on both sides.

her hands were curled up into balls and under her eyes, trying to catch the tears before they hit the ground, she was k..kinda cute.

I sighed and moved over a bit, before lifting my arm up, she almost immediately stopped crying and layed down beside me, I wrapped my arm around her, in an almost brotherly loving way.

just before we both went to sleep, I mumbled, "annoying brat"
