"Here." We pulled up in the parking lot of a big red and grey building. There was a pole with a large 3 dimensional yellow 'M' that had the word 'McDonalds' written underneath it.
"C'mon." Katie dragged me out of the car and into the building.

"Hi what can I get for you?" 'Amanda' asked politely.
"Hello, can I get a medium double cheeseburger meal with a coke." Katie said smiling. Ginger was next:
"Medium cheeseburger meal, frozen coke as the drink." Her blue eyes fluttered. I gazed at the large board above the heads of the cashiers. Cheese burgers, chicken burgers, chicken nuggets. There were salads, wraps and even cookies. Wow, so much to choose from.
"Um..." I gazed over the menu again. " can I please get a.." Looking over the foods again, rethinking my original decision. " can I please get a medium quarter pounder meal, with a frozen coke." I smiled at the lady. A small 'yep' escaped her lips and she tapped the machine in front of her.
"Okay, that comes to a total of $28.95, cash or card?"
"Card please." Katie stated kindly, turning to look at Ginger and I, before turning back to Amanda and giving her her card. A few presses of buttons and the card was removed.
"Okay, here's your number and we'll call it out once your order is done( not sure if just Australian or not.. Just roll with it.)." She walked off, probably to start preparing the order.
"Let's sit down Maddy." Ginger called from a table nearby. I wandered over to them and sat down.

"So Maddy? How old are you?"Ginger asked eagerly. why? I'm not that interesting...
"Um, I'm 19."
"Ah, so are we! That's nice to know. When's your birthday?" Ginger left to get our food.
"Sunday.." Was this Cody? Did he ask Mitch to be interested?
"As in three days from now?" Katie asked shocked. I nodded.
"Your twentieth birthday. Three days from now?" I nodded again.
"Congrats!" I smiled politely, doesn't mean I'm enjoying the experience...
"What's happening?" Ginger walked back with a tray of yellow chips and burgers in boxes and three drinks in a cup tray.
"Her birthday is Sunday. 20 years!"
"Wow, growin up eh?" I nodded and waited for everyone else to grab their food.
"So, how old was Cody? If you don't mind me asking.." Ginger shoved a small bunch of chips into her mouth after the question.
"21. His birthday was a few weeks back..." I got him a new jersey...
"Okay.. Cool, he seems really nice." Yup, sure was...
"What's your favorite animal?"
"What is this? 21 questions? Wow, I like cows... But if you're talking domestic pets, a labrador."
"Aw, cows are so cute! They're face is just- aargh! Adorabull!(punny)."
"Haha, I see what you did there."
"What do you like doing in your spare time? So far?"
"Well, when I got out of the house, I'd go into the forest behind my house and climb the trees. I liked the tranquility.." I smiled at the thought of the trees, and Cody yelling at me that I was too high up..

"Maddy! You haven't touched your food!" Katie commented loudly.
"Well, you people and your questions deprived me of food!" They've asked me sooo many questions it's unbelievable.
"Well, take it in the car and eat on your way home. " I gathered the food and exited the franchise.
"So, Maddy?" Ginger asked as we began driving off.
"Yup?" I answered, mouth full of fries.
"What do you want for your birthday?" Cody...
"Nothing, just to settle in..." I guess that's true aswell..
"Ah, so you don't want a laptop? Or a new phone?"
"No." I wiped the salt of the chips onto my jeans, picking up my burger.
"Okay."
"I have a question.."
"Shoot."
"Wait? What? What happened?"
"Ha. Nothing. It means 'yea'." Katie laughed.
"Oh. Why did you take me out to dinner?"
"Did you like it?" Ginger asked.
"Yea, but I asked you first!"
"We thought you'd like it."
"Ahhuh..." We pulled up into the driveway.
"Thanks for taking me." I put my rubbish into the bin as I walked past.
"No problem, I had fun. I'm sure Katie did too!" Katie looked up through the windscreen at her name and waved. I followed Ginger inside and walked upstairs with my untouched, half melted drink. A door opened and out cam Mitch.
"Hey Maddy."
"Hi." I took a slight step back. Cody might have trusted him but, I don't think it'll be easy to get along with males.
"Had fun?" I nodded.
"Your drinks melted.. Just a little.." He pointed out.
"Want it?
" I held it out for him?
"Yea, if you don't.."
"Take it. " he took it and waved bye. Did the same and entered my room.

**Mitch POV**
"Mitch! That's so mean! Why would you take her drink?" Katie whined, Jason holding her to his body and swaying her.
"Hey. She offered it. Not my fault it was too dank to resist." I laughed.
"What'd you talk about?" Jason asked.
"I asked alot of questions..."
"Ah. Probably not my sort of thing. Later guys. "
"He's still hungover, he was finishing beers this morning that had been opened but not completed. " I smirked.
"Yea, I noticed he was still drinking, but I though he was opening new ones."
"Well, what questions did you ask?"
"I messaged you the answers.."
"Damn. My phone will have heaps of notifications when it's charged..."
"So you saw no messages.." Ginger walked in
"Nope.." I shook my head.
"Her birthday is on Sunday..." She whisperedish.
"Oh, wow... What does she want?"
"She said nothing, but she likes Labradors, and cows. She climbs trees a lot.
" well, I don't have a magic power that grows big trees. I really don't want a cow shitting in my pool."
"A labrador then. " Ginger said.
"Okay. We'll get her a labrador. "
"NO IT'LL CHASE THE CATS!" Katie yelled, causing Jerome to yell 'shut the fuck up! I ain't nocturnal!'
"I'll knock your turn all right off pal!" I screamed back, giggles sounding from the girls next to me.
"What else."
"We have a reasonable tree nearby in the forest. We could build her a treehouse."
"Nice idea Katie. It'd be somewhere for her to go if she needs some space, and she can stay there overnight too."
"Let's do it. "
