The amphitheater was fucking packed. Raging with campers. They separated us by grade level, so some of the wolves couldnt sit with us. Nakel, Eddy, Taco Jasper, Frank, and Lionel had to leave, that's some fuck shit. The meeting started but we weren't paying attention, too busy scoping out the Honey Dips and sizing up everybody else.

"Yo ain't it a party tonight?" Lucas asked.

"If not we should throw one." Hodgy replied.

"Hell yeah nigga! We can bust freestyles nshit, give em a taste of what they'll be hearing at the festival!" Doms added.

Jahshari and I looked at each other, you could see it in her eyes, we both wasnt down for that shit. We all basically talked through the whole fucking meeting, they said the same shit every year. Fuck the rules, fuck the regulations. Wolf Gang rules this shit, and since we do, there's no fucking rules in my book.

First day of camp always is goddamn late, since they give people time to get here, but they followed regular schedule. So I had lunch, and music class after that. We pushed two tables together that was enough room for most of us. Anybody who was separated came back together and sat down but I didnt see Eddy. Loudest ones in the lunch room, we didn't give a fuck.

"Yo, who all got music class next?" Frank asked.

"You know I'm in there!" Hodgy dapped up Domo.

"Me too." Doms added.

"Us three," Syd and Earl raised their hands.

I was listening to their lame ass convo but me and Shari was still scoping out the scene. It was corndog day in the mess hall, wack bitches and niggas as far as the eye can see.

"Aye nigga!" Hodgy elbowed me.

"What the fuck!?" I yell.

"Hey Ty! Isn't that Tekeli over there?!" Jahshari said patting my shoulder and pulling on my collar.

Everybody turned to the direction Jahshari was looking. Some fucking group of stoneheads in tye-dye and skate shoes.

"So yo, what's it like? You like, pal around with fucking Floggnaw legends, Bro!"

"The endless partyings, the rad trips to the skate park, and being completely reckless! It must be pretty dope.."

They all wanted to know what it was like to hang around people that I hung around all the time. Like it was nothing new. From what I knew Tyler and the rest of the crew was infamous for certain things at camp, but I didn't know of them to be like...... legends.

"Eddy man, you gotta introduce us!"

"I dunno about that mann, the Wolves aren't exactly too welcoming." I reply.

I know Wolf Gang, they'd be cool with these guys just being around at a party, but for them to actually roll with us? Nah. That wouldn't sit so well, I don't think. Yeah there's a lot of Wolves but, we don't trust outsiders. We're all we got, we're a family.

"Yo who's the chick?"

He nudged his head in the group's direction.

"Thats She." I answer.

"She?" The looks on their faces read confused.

"She, like, she-wolf, when you think of wolves they're usually male, so she's a She-Wolf." I explained. "She's not the only one, but she's a main one."

"Yo she's hot, complete honey dip."

"YO TEKELI!" I heard behind me.

It was Jahshari, she and Tallulah were standing on the table, they threw their hand up, questioning what I was doing.

"Stop clowning around fag, and get over here!" Tallulah yelled.

"Take us with you." They said in synch.

"Ugh, I'm never gonna hear the end of this...." I thought.

But even with all the doubt, I did it anyways and counted the breaths and steps as I got closer to the table.

Six breaths, seven steps.

"Sup guys."

I wondered if they could hear the shakey-ness in my voice.

"Yo Edd, who's the posers?" Tallulah asked.

I read everyone's faces, they wanted to know the same thing, I felt like I was on fucking trial.

"Oh, uh, these guys? This is, uh-"

"Matt, I'm Matt, and this is Carloni, Carl for short." Matt answered.

"And what are you niggas supposed to be? Like, the sunshine band or some shit?" Tyler said.

Everyone laughed. Jahshari shoved Tyler, he stopped laughing, and she started walking around us.

"You guys are.... freshmen.... aren't you?" She said, standing back by Tyler.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" Carloni asked.

"You can smell it." She smiled.

"Freshmen.." Tallulah whispered.

Jahshari turned to her and smiled. The horn blew, It was time for every body to clear the mess hall.

"Yunno, theres been talk about a party tonight, if so, you should bring your friends." Jahshari said to me before leaving.

I swallowed the doubt, and wiped my sweaty palms on my shirt.

"Piece of cake." I thought to myself.
