Chapter 5

After that epic kiss between Clyde and I, I went into the auditorium and song, all the while never taking my eyes off of him. I sang, 50s Santa Baby, by Eartha Kitt, 60s Will you still love me tomorrow, by The Shirelles. 70s I will survive by Gloria Gaynor, 80s to love you more by Celine Dion, 90s Sometimes by Brittany Spears. 20th century, Beautiful by, Christina Aguilera.

Apparently I was good, because everyone started clapping and cheering. Clyde was smiling and clapping. I smiled back, blushing a very deep strawberry red.

We left right after that. Sanity was raving on, about how good I was and how stunned everyone was. Dillon, on the other hand, would not even look at me. He parted ways with us in the school parking lot and drove away without even saying goodbye.

Sanity and I drove to my house for our sleepover. When we got there, the house was empty. I walked into the kitchen and saw a note stuck on the fridge. Mom’s working late again and Jenny was sleeping over by Margret’s house.

It’s not that I’m not accustom to being alone, I just wanna spend some time with my family once in a while. I took out two sodas and handed one to Sanity. Later we ordered pizza and watched, reruns of Arrow.

I mean, who doesn’t love Stephen Amell. Those abs and that face. Is it me, or is it getting hot in here. Somebody open a window because, I’m burning up. I just love Arrow, I’m an Olicity fan all the way. Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak forever!

We were half way into the second season of Arrow, when Sanity went crazy with questions.

“Ok, so I can’t keep quiet anymore. You kissed Clyde Davis. OMG, you kissed Clyde freaking Davis!” She was bouncing on my bed, hugging a pillow.

“So… You have to tell me, was he any good? Did he curl your toes and melt your bones? Did you feel like ripping his clothes off, right there and having your wicked way with him? Don’t leave anything out, tell me everything.”

I’m the one who got kissed and my best friend was acting more excited than me.

“Ohmygod, can you stop speed talking.”

She threw a pillow at me, hitting me square in the face. Her eyes were very serious. “I will hurt you for information, so start talking.”

I laughed, earning myself another pillow in the face. I blew hair out of my face and rolled my eyes.

“Ok, ok. Chill Olivia Pope, I’ll tell you.” She dropped the pillow she was holding, eyeing me suspiciously, “Smart choice, now let’s hear it.”

I thought back to the kiss and smiled dreamily. “It was amazing. Like our lips were reunited after being apart for far too long. I couldn’t have asked for anything more for my first kiss.”

We both sighed, then laughed. We spent the rest of the night, talking and laughing. I love our sleepovers.

It’s been two weeks since the nightmare audition and the epic kiss. I got a part in the show, which means I’ve been working closely with Clyde and the mean Bs. The Bs has put me down and embarrassed me at every chance they got.

No one ever tells them to stop, for fear of being bullied themselves. Clyde would tell me not to listen to them, ignore them that their just jealous because I’m a better singer and dance than them.
