Trigger warnings: Suicide attempt, self-harm, accidental neglect, crying, lots of crying, blood, stitches, anxiety attack(he has a crisis), self-hate, also more of the 'telling the truth causes him pain but he does it anyways' headcanon, also some Remus angst because why tf not, Roman angst ig.
Im so sorry for the long wait on this chapter! Ive been held-back from working because 1.) my computer broke and I had to get it fixed and 2.) If you read the bold on the first chapter, you might understand this better, but I've relapsed. Im getting better but Its difficult to find inspiration and even more difficult to put it into words.
Also, if you've read my backstory one-shot, just know that in my mind this happens in the same universe.
I hope you guys like this though!
Enjoy~
Everyone stood still, the whole room silent as they stared, collectively, at the spot that Deceit had been sitting only a few seconds ago.
Virgil let out a choked sob and fell to his knees.
Patton rushed to his side, comforting him as best as he could.
Roman sat there, stunned, along with Thomas.
They all sat there, trying to process the load of information Deceit had just thrown at them.
Almost twenty minutes later, one of the sides stood.
Logan was once again the first to recover from the shock, ever the best at repressing emotions.
"We can't leave him by himself after that."
Virgil managed to stand, his tears dripping much slower.
"Y-You're right. He definitely went to his room." The anxious side spoke, his voice wavery.
Without another word, the five sank out, Roman dragging Thomas along.
They resurfaced in the dark hallway, Thomas looking more than a little uncomfortable and Virgil's eyes locked on the doors.
Patton gave him a hug, assuming that the side didn't like being here, but Virgil shoved him off, rushing to the door and pausing in front of it.
Roman stepped forward to see what was wrong and his blood ran cold.
He hadn't noticed it before, so into his own mind, but the door was battered.
There were claw-marks crisscrossing the door, jagged lines cut into the wood.
"W-what did this?" Thomas asked, taking a hesitant step forward.
Logan's voice was hushed but full of concern.
"It happens, sometimes. If a side is dangerously hurt or experiencing something especially brutal, their door will take on some of those characteristics."
Roman thought back to Remus's door and recalled the handle being almost painfully hot.
The claw marks, about 34 big ones and hundreds of smaller ones, were caused by something the other side had done, probably wounds.
Patton knocked on the door, softly but hard enough that it would definitely he heard.
"Deceit? I need you to let us come in, kiddo."
No sound came from beyond the door.
They were all suddenly struck with the terrible image of the snake side dying somewhere in the room by his own hand.

Sympathetic Deceit one-shots
FanfictionUh, I just really like sympathetic Deceit. I don't know what else to say. I will take suggestions for fluff and angst. This will be mainly angst because I like writing angst and also I can't write anything else. Also, I am willing to write any ship...
