Alvarez sits down at the table outside of the coffee shop as Darby sits across from him. "So, do we have a deal?" Darby asks, as he looks around casually. Alvarez thinks for a few seconds, "Yea, we do. But the first time you screw me over, it's done. We will never speak again, ese." Darby nods, "Yea that's fine. I have someone I'd like you to meet. He supplies the cash, I supply the product, we need you and your club to handle the sales. That includes us expanding into Charming." Alvarez shakes his head, "That's Sons territory, you are playing with fire. I'm all for expanding the business, but I won't lose my men in the process." Darby looks over at him, "My partner is setting up a cigar shop in the heart of Charming. He has the police on his side, and they are against the Sons to begin with. Well, at least Hale is. Unser is a different story. But don't worry, it's coming together. So do we have a deal or not?" Alvarez sits back in his chair, rubbing his chin, deep in thought. "Ok, I'll take it to my table and let you know by the end of today."
Flashback
"SKYLER.SKYLER......SKYLER." Skyler looks up at the sky, barely hearing the soldier calling her name. Her body is in shock, and her eyes adjusting to the light. She can see white clouds against a pretty blue background. "Skyler, are you ok?" The soldier comes closer. Suddenly, Skyler is coming back to reality, and the pain hits. Intense, burning. She groans and grits her teeth as she realizes their hummer has been hit. "Yea, I'm here. Where is Steve?" Skyler asks. A familiar face blocks her sky view, it's her best friend, Leslie. "He's ummm.."Leslie starts to choke back the tears, "He's gone. I'm so sorry, Sky." The pain still intense, Skyler just lays and stares at her friend as her words register. "You are hurt. Your arm is broken I think, it looks funny." Leslie gently touches Skyler's arm. Letting out some shallow breathes, Skyler flinches and pulls her arm away from Leslie. Leslie takes her helmet off and pulls out her first aide kit. "We will be ok, we got this. We wi-". In the distance a gun shot rings out, Leslie collapses next to Skyler, and there's a quarter sized hole in her forehead.Present
Skyler starts to wake up, and the basement it's pitch black. She gasps for breath, and rolls over onto her back. As her eyes adjust to the darkness, the pain starts to overwhelm her. She knows the pain. Possibly a Broken arm, cracked ribs, cheek bone fracture, the list goes on. As her reality sinks in, she realizes that she's alone. The 3 men are gone. Having no idea what time is it, she moves her legs. Ok those are fine. Sitting up and leaning against the wall, she starts to piece together what happened. Billy is now working with A.J. and Ule. Thought he was against them. Trying to catch her breath, she sits and thinks for a minute. They beat her up pretty badly, and threw her down the stairs. For what, she's not sure. But whatever the reason, she knows she's in danger now. Her gut feeling was right.Climbing to her feet slowly, she works her way back up the stairs to the door. Surprisingly it's unlocked. Peeking out, and hearing silence, she slowly walks towards the bathroom. No one seems to be around. Cupping some water in her hand, she rinses her mouth out, tasting old blood. No teeth missing, that's good. Wrist is definitely fractured, it hurts like hell. She needs to get checked out. Walking slowly into the kitchen, she glanced at the clock. 7:27am. The fall must've knocked her out. Going into her hiding spot where her cash is, she takes it all out. And after making an ice pack for her right cheek, she makes her way into the storage closet. Her bag, helmet, and hoodie are still shoved into the corner where she put them the night before. Knowing she's not in any condition to drive, she pulls her cell phone out of the bottom of her bag and checks it. No new messages. Not even from her dad. Not surprised, but she doesn't want to tell him what happened.
After booking a cab to the 2nd closest hospital, St. Thomas, she checks her bag again. Her pistol is still in its holster. She took it off last night after locking up, and guess it's a good thing because she may not be breathing if they found it on her. Limping outside, she can see her bike is still parked where she left it. Zipping her hoodie on and putting on her sunglasses, the cab pulls up and she slowly climbs in the back. "Saint Thomas, please." The cab driver glances in his rear view mirror. "Are you ok, miss?" He asks, concerned. She draws in a sharp breath and bites her bottom lip as the pain in her wrists radiates up her arm. "Yea, just fell down the basement steps, that's all." He can feel she is lying but he doesn't want to push the issue, so he begins to drive. Signing into the ER, they take her back right away.
A C.T. Scan and multiple x-rays later, they come to put her wrist in a half cast, and give her pain relievers. Bruised ribs, swollen face, busted lip, hairline fracture in wrist. After talking to the doctor, nurses, and the social worker, she convinced them all that she really did fall down the steps and just wanted to go home. The doctor discharges her, and she calls another cab. Sitting on the bench outside, she still has her hoodie and sunglasses on, trying to plan out her day. She needs somewhere to go. Not home. She doesn't want her dad to know about this. They were never that close, mainly because he is more about money over his family. He wasn't always like this, but she knows he won't just back off of his drug business just because his partner's guard dogs beat her up. She felt more like a roommate to him. She needed to leave California, and was trying to rack her brain for answers. Then she heard a familiar sound, and an idea popped into her head.
