Austin’s POV
When I got home from the concert, Milee was in the shower, I could hear the water running from her bathroom. I went to take a shower and get ready for dinner tonight, and in the shower, I decided that I’m telling her that I love her tonight, no matter what.
I decided I should start getting ready since we were leaving to Olive Garden in an hour and a half. I took a quick shower and decided on some nice clothes and fixed my hair, wanting to look my best for when I finally tell Milee.
My mom suddenly called “Kids! We’re leaving right now, hurry up!” shoot...I needed more time to pick my shoes!! Ugh, oh well.
When I came out of the room, everyone was walking out the door, leaving me behind. “Hey, guys! Did you forget about me?! Wait up!”
I didn’t know if it was just me, but the car ride to Olive Garden was really awkward, because, well, Milee wasn’t talking to me. Every time I tried to start a conversation with her, she would pretend she just thought of something really important she just HAD to tell Melissa. I didn’t get it. What did I do?
Milee’s POV
Ignoring Austin is going to be a lot harder than I thought. He’s tried starting a conversation with me every 5 minutes, and every time I have to act like I have something important to tell my mom just so I don’t blurt out that I love him more than anything in the world. We just got to the restaurant, and just my luck, Mom, John, and Sarah wanted “adult time” so they had me and Austin sit at a different table.
We just finished ordering our food, and we haven’t said a word to each other the whole time. John walks up to our table, a puzzled look on his face. “Austin, can I talk to you for a second?” “Uh, sure dad.” Austin gets up and walks away leaving me here all alone with my water and my thoughts.
Austin’s POV
I got up and walked to the corner of the restaurant with my dad wondering what he wanted to talk about.
J: “What’s going on with you and Milee, son?”
A: “I don’t know, she just stopped talking to me after the concert.” My eyes were starting to water…great, a guy is totally supposed to cry over the girl.
J: “It’s breaking your heart, isn’t it?”
A: “You don’t even know how much! I love her, Dad!” that was really loud, I hope no one else heard.
J: “Austin, calm down! Just talk to her, and see what’s going on.”
A: “Okay, fine.”
Great, now I have to get her to listen, which will be pretty hard, plus I have to go over there, and I’m almost positive my eyes are red after those tears from earlier finally escaped my eyes.
I headed back to the table to ask what I did wrong. “Milee, can I please talk to you outside? I need to ask you something really important.”
