Secretary (Chapter 5)

   What was supposed to be next to be taken out was Cadman, since he was the most dangerous of the last two left. They were wrong and needed to take down the sneaky Secretary. All over the world, a broadcast showed the actions of the JPD and the government military. The deaths of the Peacetrons were dramatic and shown on the air. Nurture's was the most tragically shown, as she dies in peace with her flower. There were now several reports of riots, countries and religions opposed the order being set. Secretary is publicly speaking to crowds of civilians.

   The JPD trucks pull around the city hall and create a barrier between the hall and the crowd outside. On the steps of the city hall stands the well groomed Secretary, he stands behind a podium. There was surprisingly pairs of people in suits and ties standing as bodyguard for the politician. Lt. Davis steps out side of the truck as the other troops keep the civilians in control. Lt.Davis holds up his wrist and speaks loudly at the Secretary, "Peacetron Secretary, you are to surrender and come with us in peace, now."

The Secretary is still smiling at his crowd, then clears his throat and lectures, "Lieutenant Davis, I have the same words for you and your assailants are to drop your weapons and surrender. For my force are as great as my reasoning, You have been proven to be great fighters and should be allowed to be forgiven. If you are forgiven of your crimes then you may live on as one of us."

The possibility to live on is tempting but Davis knows what's best and refuses, "You have betrayed Nurture's safety for the good of your own cause. You have no sympathy for the living, it's all an act, like all politicians did."

Secretary then loses his patience at the insult and straightens up, "I am not like the others, I am noble and truthful to humanity. Since you do not cooperate, then it must be dealt with Cadman's way. War."

The mob behind the military trucks begin to rile up and push against the soldiers. The bodyguards near Secretary pull out pistols and begin to fire at the trucks below. Lt.Davis fires his gun but is forced to take cover. Soldiers at the line are shot back and some take bullets to their vests. The large mob pushes through the broken line. Andres takes a flash bang and blinds the mob. Matt and Andres help fallen soldiers as they retreat to the trucks. The truck doors shut and they make to the JPD headquarters. The crowds of angry mislead people make at them. Secretary sighs and smiles at Carmen's camera, Carmen backs away from the camera and runs. Secretary chuckles as he leads his puppets.

Matt drives the truck through the street, they had outrun the chasers. When they felt safe, a large tow truck rolls right in front of them. They didn't stop in time and the military trucks collide perpendicular to the tow truck.

Andres opens his door and stumbles out, a fat bearded trucker swings open the door with a shotgun. Pellets dive into the trucker's body, the attacker falls dead. Matt reloads his shotgun and helps Andres up. Another mob runs out of the corner of the street, they have makeshift weapons, some had guns, drones hover above lighting their path. The team looks at Davis for an answer, he coldy puts, "Fire."

Carmen is in the place where Jolts had his office. Carmen knew that the people would only believe if they saw, so they must see. Carmen hurriedly sets up the power and connects her camera to Jolt's computer. As Carmen works, there are two armed Secretary agents that head down the tunnels.

Zane and Raven had gone up on top of a building for Raven's sniping point. Zane looked out for any attackers that might spot them. Raven sets up the legs of her sniper and loads her gun.

The angry mob is taking fire, civilians fall dead while the soldiers defend themselves. While Andres fires a man with a rifle fires and Andres is knocked back. His vest protected the penetration of the bullet but the kick was still painful. The fire fight went on, but the defenders were soon running out of ammo. Andres started to hear soldiers calling out their empty mags and out of ammo. The best they were able to do was take out riot shields and fight the civilians head on. "Come on Carmen," Andres mutters as his own weapons clicks empty.
